  1. lmao Tetsu is still wearing that thing? those 4 seconds left me thinking of Renai Kousaten from Modern Garde for some reason. it only this single is as good.

I didn't even know about this band, what the hell! The song sounds like Coaltar of the Deepers mixed with what Laputa could sound like these days, I really like it. Still impressed with how much ryo's been up to these days - from almost retirement to 9GBO and then to four different projects at the same time. Nice to see a new creative peak from him!
  3. those are some beautiful cover arts. I always enjoy some songs on their albums, so looking forward to it!

Ending the show with "Daidai" </3 Too bad they didn't play "tool", it's one of their best. Are those unknown songs unreleased ones or just new ones from MoZ?

...from Laputa to "the guy that splited with TAG". Poor aki. ): Here for this though!
  6. I've always wanted to find more Taiwanese stuff, but they're all so damn hard to find online for me. ): The only things I know are Frandé (which I was lucky to find online) and Hello Nico (from a few YouTube videos). Other than that, I'm pretty much new to the scene.
  7. Wow, I had no idea who these guys (IX -NINE-) were, but that sample song sounds disgustingly beautiful. I need to get that album asap. Can't believe I missed this!
  8. Yeah, that's the main thing with me. I'm drawn to their production and overall aesthetic (their videos are always a pleasure to watch), but the overall product just lacks something for me. I think I need to do the same and just force myself to the vocals. lol @fitear1590 "Chilico" and "Karasuzoku" are the other ones I like the best. PS: I know it wasn't well received, but I hope you guys include イツエ/Itsue's last mini-album in this. ): It's December and I'm still pretty much in love with it since January and that didn't happen much this year with me.
  9. 2015 is ending and I still need to give Suiyoubi no Campanella a proper listen. I'm still not that impressed with their music judging only from a few random videos, but everyone seems to be raving so much about this album that it's kinda hyping me up. I'm glad to see PELICAN FANCLUB in the list too! Their EP was a fairly nice surprise in a year that didn't really bring much in terms of indie music. "Dali" was one of the standout songs from Japan this year for me without a doubt.

^ this. I've always felt their existence was pointless and they were never able to reach their potential. It just didn't work out. "Crimson Nail" was the only good thing they made imo.
  11. omg Enon simply doesn't stop. did indigo get better with time and a major contract like Gesu did? If so, I need to check them out. I remember their music being pretty average and boring.

    Playing with NOVEMBERS already? Interesting~
  16. I'm glad to hear cinema staff hasn't gone completely to shit

    (deadman sounds rather nice!)
  17. Well, at least there's T.O.P just in case the single sucks. lol

I have only listened to the album twice, but so far I really like it. It's got a rawness that's more reminiscent of "forest at the end of a river" than their previous LPs ("VIEW" and "PURPLE"), which is a welcome surprise for me. It's a fairly simple and kinda effortless album (not in a bad way), and the beauty of it lies in that for me, how it just sounds like something familiar that fans would enjoy after so many years without any new music, which is exactly how I felt after listening to it. SCLL's music has always been comforting to me, and hearing this was a really great experience and I'm sure I'll keep spinning it, especially on those moments where you just want your mind to drift off and enjoy some quiet music. I do agree that there are not many standout songs in the album per se and that's it's best enjoyed as a whole - which is how I always listen to their albums, so it's not really an issue for me lol. However, azure, feel uneasy and constellation were the ones that hooked me up the most throughout these two listens. Anyway, I'm just happy they were able to come back and hope they don't disappear completely and that life lets them keep on making music.
  19. can any Hungarian member translate the word "tehetségkutatóján" for me? a friend has been looking for the meaning for a while. I apologize for having to bother asking this here. :|

      Lestat

I am not Hungarian by any means, but I think it means 'talent scout'.

^ I like SFR individually a little better because I've been listening to it the longest (it wasn't until a few years ago that I discovered the live versions with Suspicious). Starting with the punch of the guitar riffs just seems more fitting in my head due to that. But both together are indeed quite magic, to say the least. I wish there was a studio recording of both combined somewhere. ):

I think most of what I'm about to say has already been said, but just to get my two cents out: I went through this phase of "hating" VK and thinking all bands that were popping out in the scene sounded alike and weren't really good. I'm not gonna dismiss that sentiment because I've seen it happen with plenty of people, although it's still hard to understand the exact reason as to why it happens. It was weird for me to understand it too, especially since I was a fan of the scene for a long time. But after a while, I realized that I needed that "anger" to open up my mind to other stuff and that VK wasn't necessarily the problem. Yes, the current trend of growling and metalcore isn't my favorite as well, but so wasn't oshare. So wasn't nu metal. But every single time I ended up thinking "this isn't for me anymore", I find out there are still bands doing their own thing, trying to be creative, trying to stand out. These bands do exist, and to be fairly honest, you just need to look at the bigger picture. VK, as a scene, has always had diversity at the same time it has lots of younger bands trying to follow the current trend just to stand out among others and get their space. What I mean by all this is: even though the majority of it doesn't seem appealing anymore, just give some time to see that there's still a few bright spots here and there that you'll probably enjoy. At some point you do grow out of following every single aspect of the scene, but that doesn't mean that it's not worthy giving it some attention every once in a while.
  23. John Wayne Gacy Jr. is ridiculous. Illinoise and Michigan (as well as his most recent stuff) are very dear records to me personally. I discovered him by the time I got into college and it's been a great experience getting to know his music since then. I don't even mind his religious undertones every once in a while. lol
