Oh, I did not expect a new album so soon. Thought it'd take years again (or never, really). Please no songs with drama tie-ins anymore, RAN was enough of a disaster.

I knew they still had it in them. :') This does sound like Renai Kousaten indeed. Love everything about this so far, including all three cover arts.

Vocalist has the charisma of a door and not even autotune can make his voice enjoyable, but other than that and the shitty synth, this sounds alright.

I've tried to listen to Wagakki Band. On paper, they were tailor-made for me, given how much of a sucker I am for anything mixing rock music with traditional Japanese elements. But for me, Wagakki Band is like if distraught Kagrra, fans were to create a band in order to cope with the deep distress caused by their disbandment and Isshi's death and ended up overcompensating by creating a big and chaotic mess with every single traditional Japanese instrument they could find ahead of them without even knowing how to put everything together to make something sound cohesive and actually listenable. So yeah.

I wish I could like sukekiyo more, especially given how happy I was back when I heard my favorite RENTRER EN SOI members were coming back, but their music is just dull for me at this point. i tried listening to both of their albums and while there were a few songs I did enjoy, most of them just came off as pointless. still better than anything Satsuki has been trying to do though

I haven't been following KAMIJO's career since early Versailles, so here's a question: what kind of voice tone does he use to sing LAREINE songs these days: the old or the new, post-LAREINE one? I'm more curious about that tbh. lol Super stoked to see all three members (and both from NEW SODMY) back for the concert too. It'd be really cool to have full footage from it on DVD.

Now I want this for that first track alone. I'm not particularly a fan of live albums, but this sounds like a good one. All the new songs sound really good!

Jun's hair is looking fabulous. That's the only good thing I have to say about this band unfortunately.

I'm not a fan, but it's still pretty cool to see a band with such heavy VK looks playing a solo gig at Budokan. It's a big deal no matter what, especially in 2015, which is so far away from the old VK boom.

Yeah, I'm sure no one expected THE NOVEMBERS to make the list... I really liked Elegance as a whole, even though some of the songs don't stick out for me as much as I wanted. きれいな海へ and エメラルド were easily my two favorite songs off it.

Ohh, didn't notice the lack of Susanne's album too. It was gorgeous. Accelerate and Fade Away are already iconic.

I still need to work on my list, but some of my personal favorites off the top of my head are acknowledged pretty highly on the list (Sufjan, Tame Impala, Grimes), which was nice to see given how unfamiliar I was with most names in the entire top 50. There's still a bunch of stuff I need to check out to make a better impression of this list though - even Carly Rae Jepsen's, which everyone seems to be raving about everywhere for months now. I think my personal favorite album of 2015 is Tame Impala's Currents. I don't know if I like it better than Lonerism yet, but I still have most songs from it stuck in my head months later and my favorite songs still keep on changing, even if I don't get bored of the others. Sufjan Stevens' album is easily my second favorite, though. It pretty much just destroyed me and I still can't listen to it much without getting weirdly emotional. As much as I liked his electronic and trippy ventures, coming back to a simpler, guitar-driven sound was a much welcome surprise. Not sure what's Pitchfork's opinion on Florence + the Machine, but I'm honestly surprised How Big, How Blue, How Beautiful didn't make top 50. I thought it was incredible.

While Ling's been rough as of recently, TK's last solo album was actually pretty great imo. I think he found a good balance between his Ling style and and newer, more approachable sound with it, so I hope he keeps on developing it (although it does make me apprehensive he might just churn out some full-on pop numbers, but whatever).

They're playing Tokyo Dome next year? Damn. That's awesome tbh. I'm here for the new album already.

I haven't watched a single Studio Ghibli movie in my life and I don't even know why. As far as Disney goes though, I voted for a bunch. My absolute favorites are probably Mulan, The Lion King, Toy Story and WALL-E. A Goofy Movie would be among these too had it been on the list. :~~ I lost count on how many times I watched it as a kid.

I have The fin.'s album sitting here for ages and never gave it a spin. I remember watching a PV of theirs and being thrown off from the Engrish a little bit, but the song was rather nice. Time to get on to it I think!

Yeeeahh I know they're way too short, but those samples didn't do much for me either. Looks like the new songs won't differ much from "Secret mode" style-wise, so it kinda drags my expectations down.

I really like deadman, even more knowing it could be dull as hell given how it's an anime tie-in. I'm not sure though if I like it because it's good or if it's because my expectation has been lowered to zero after YOUR SONG.
