^ both guys from MONORAL are fluent in English, know it from personal experience. I think the vocalist is also fluent in some sort of Arabic language, but don't quote me on that. Miyavi is pretty much fluent in English, as well as RADWIMPS' vocalist. Taka from ONE OK ROCK seems to be really good at it too.

was waiting on the results of a test for a job. last person to get through to the interviews phase got 22 questions right, I got 21. fuck,

yesterday I took a test for a possible position in another city and I just checked to see how many questions I got right (did relatively well) but I won't know if I'll make it to the interviews part of the process until this Friday and I'll be freaking out the entire week, goddammit

...not saying that's not true or anything, but why would they break up due to any reason involving Gackt if they kept going with another vocalist after he left? doesn't make any sense.

I wish Satsuki nothing but success, but I'm already expecting cancelled dates due to poor tickets sales and plenty of jokes about him playing for 5 people somewhere. The hell is he and whoever is planning this tour even thinking?
  6. ahhhh I love this. More interesting than Ling's latest EP for sure.

Oh boy. I still don't understand the point of this poll, but RENTRER EN SOI easily gets my vote. All that I can say about Lycaon is that they started out strong and lost their way after those members left. They sure must have some good songs in their catalogue, so I'm not gonna take away any merit or whatever from them. But regarding RES, they were one of the top bands during the 00's. Hardly any band could reach the level of emotion and musicianship they were able to put into each and every one of their albums. I could easily use them as a sole recommendation for anyone who's interested in getting into Japanese music as a whole - they were that good. They decided to call it quits at the top of their game, and that's something you can almost NEVER say about a visual kei band. To be quite honest, I'm still a little heartbroken over their disbandment and it's been almost 8 years. tl;dr, I'm a huge RES fanboy.
  8. at this point, the remaining members should just rename the band to アイフーロスト (I, who lost) now

ohhh, this new Grape is lovely might be one of my favorite songs from them in quite a while.

Nice to see someone else remembers these guys! They were so good. Welcome to the forums, by the way!

Yeah, they've been hyping their major debut on their Facebook page for a while now. I agree they have all the right ingredients to do well in some sort of mainstream alternative pop niche, which is why I'm not too worried yet. Most of the time I'm actually a fan of the subtlety of the pop elements in their songs (which were so prominent in this new track), but I wouldn't be exactly mad if they stopped doing those under a major contract.

^ I came here just to post this! I'm so infatuated by this song and video. Never thought their vocalist could be this charismatic on video, heh. I can get behind them sounding like this as a major band.

I've always enjoyed their output for the most part, so this is kinda sad to hear (they even had one of my favorite songs last year, from their latest EP). But they were really young when they first started out, so this seems like a natural decision in order for the members to go out and do something different in regards to music. At least there will be a final album! That's a sweet farewell message too, by the way! They'll be missed.

I cannot stop listening to this.
  15. Those samples actually sound really cool. Like D'Ray mixed with DEG circa 2003~2005. I'm intrigued.

hey, fellow Fortalezense! welcome to MH!

Decided to shave my head for whatever reason.
  18. saishuu

Ehhh, not a big fan of the sample. Not because it's more pop, it just sounds odd. Don't mind their look either - they have the potential to cross over to mainstream.

    Can't remember of anything else.

I've been procrastinating to answer this thread for five years. That's how much I let procrastination take over my life.

I've been using slsk almost on a daily basis lately. It's still my favorite way to download music. I hardly use it for Japanese music though, but there are a few things there that are hard to find otherwise.
  24. saishuu

    All those vocalists + KGF members + SORA together ;_;
