^ that's lame. :/ I hope he can join the others by the time of the concert.

oh boy, I needed to stay away from this thread because sometimes I get -way- too sentimental about certain bands and I might end up posting something extremely embarassing, but I couldn't avoid posting here. I think this covers it all. lol
-
that line-up is dreamyyyy.
-
omg all this Loop Ash nostalgia geez, I actually like all of these bands. Even some stuff from AN CAFE from back when they were handled by Michiru.
-
It's probably my favorite LS track. :') Can't get over those guitar riffs and Ryuichi's vocals.

I'd rank mine as: 1. MOTHER (as much as I love STYLE, the consistency and the flow in this one is just unbeatable to me) 2. STYLE (pretty much the best of both "worlds") 3. IMAGE (SEARCH FOR REASON >>>>>) 4. LUNA SEA (I still enjoy the rawness of the old version more than the new recording) 5. LUNACY (first contacts I ever had with LUNA SEA were through this album, so it still holds a little nostalgia) 6. SHINE (some flawless songs, but not catchy/interesting enough as a whole) 7. EDEN (see below. Providence though) 8. A WILL (meh) I admit I never gave EDEN too much attention though, so it might be around 5~7 once I get to listen to it a little more.
-
Although I do enjoy a few songs on A WILL (Glowing, Metamorphosis, MARIA, TEOTD) , it's probably my least favorite too, followed by SHINE and perhaps EDEN. If SHINE was only slightly shorter and not so ballad/low-tempo oriented, it'd be among STYLE and MOTHER as their best. The singles + ANOTHER, MILLENNIUM and BREATHE are easily some of my favorites from their discography.

I actually enjoy most of LUNACY and think the overall consensus of it being bad is really unwarranted. "a Vision" was probably the first song of theirs I heard. Can't hate on an album with songs like Sweetest Coma Again, TONIGHT, gravity and Crazy About You.

Very likely. I don't remember the exact term in English, but in Portuguese we call it "lesão por esforço repetitivo" (roughly translated as "injury caused by repetitive work"). He probably suffers from numbness in the three nerves that go through the wrist (radial, ulnar and median) due to the nature of the guitar playing. Physical therapy can help, but some cases do require surgery indeed.

I think I have one or two, I'm not sure. Reasons for it are: 1) I'm lazy 2) I no longer have space in the thing I use to keep CDs (or they don't fit it) and I have to leave them around somewhere and I fear they'll be scratched or get too dusty or dirty, so I don't open them.

so this new Grimes album really is instant AOTY material
-
Isn't that something band members always say when disbanding though? Like "we'll meet each other again soon" or whatever.
-
I have to admit that I always thought they were bad judging by their looks and some of the music I heard in the past, but really I was kinda close-minded towards them. I have a vague memory of how they sound like and I do get why tons of people liked them back in the day - I just always thought they were keen on sounding messy in a bad way, not in that "crazy VK" way. I am too interested in checking them out and appreciate the effort put into writing this. To fitear1590 and the review team: nicely done.

People always forget about SPEEDDISK, smh. I don't really give much attention to labels these days, so I can't really answer this thread properly. But I did like a bunch of old SPEEDISK bands, as well as some from Timely Records. PSC and UNDER CODE from early to mid 00's were awesome too.

I'm not a fan of Scream, but Flesh Without Blood is everything. Still have high hopes for her album.
-
I'm a douchebag.
-
Already looking forward to the comments when they eventually disband.
-
Nothing special tbh. At least it does sound better than HAPPY UNBIRTHDAY. lol
-
At this point I don't even know what to expect from these guys anymore.
-
lost ears

The vocal layering in this sound godawful. Terrible mixing. Sounds like two songs playing at the same time once the chorus kicks in. But the song itself is pretty cool. I'll forgive them once again for starting another song the exact same way (the funky guitar riff) as their two other singles. lol
-
I'm actually having a really good day and I hope most people in the forum are too.

DaizyStripper has a lot of flaws, but I give them major props for always being super professional in regards to band matters, especially in such a messy scene like visual kei. I'm no longer a big fan of their music, but I like the fact that they're still around.
