I'm oscillating between "it's just a material thing" and "I'll never have such a perfect pair of sunglasses EVER again kill me now".

Back with another drawing. I've always wanted to draw a desert landscape so this is my take on it. I started this one last year and then went into a slump. Finally overcame my laziness and finished it.

@ambivalentideal Checked out DIMLIM last few days and i must say thats definitely the band i want to follow. I did like the new single the most though, especially 離人.  His clean vocals are so addicting, i would love to hear more songs like that.
My other favorites are アハレワタ, The Invisible, GROTESQUE, Innocent passion, Malformation and D.Hymnus. I guess that is a lot  of favorites considering the amount of songs they released but i really liked them all. I also like how some songs give me that DEG vibe and at the same time they are something else. Looking forward to see what they come up with next.

all k-dramas are basically the same overall idea/plot but with a different setting.  rich man/poor woman, maybe one of them has some kinda super power or ability.  if one of them is important like an idol or ceo then they must be a complete asshole until they learn to love from some woman who is poor, but optimistic.  someone ends up in the hospital after a fight at some point too, making whichever one said the mean things feel bad with some sad piano music playing while they sit alone or maybe in a coffee shop, idk.

That's...not very realistic for a lot of people. And calling people with debt "needy" is a bit unfair imo.
 Saving up for things that are not neccessary for your day-to-day life is fine, although sometimes not achievable either.
 
Getting an extra job is at best a short term solution, if you want to have a life outside of work at all, and actually enjoy the things you're saving up for (I'm not even factoring in having kids or family). I've worked two jobs for a few months, a few years back, and I've had a grand total 5 hours free per day. I went into my night shift at 8pm, finished at 6am and then by 8am I  had to be at my second job where I stayed till 4pm. That's no way to live. 
 
I suppose you're coming at the topic assuming that people take loans and fall into debt because they spend money they don't have on unnecessary, extravagant things.

Feminism is, or at least its supposed to be advocating for equality not superiority of one sex over the other. That said, raising awareness and combating the abuse that men suffer, especially at the hands of women, is a part of the movement. The risk of humiliation and not being seen as "man enough" is a byproduct of toxic masculinity (a buzzword i know) which is a big topic in feminism. The fact that society unfairly favours women over men in custody battles, is similarily hundred years of harmful stereotypes stacked on top of each other.
 
I don't think we should villanize the whole movement, because mainstream media chooses to only expose the worst of it, because that what gets the views.
 
Now what is said on the video, is not precisely that more women become abusers, but more men report the abuse. Which all in all, is a good thing?
 

Open-mindedness comes with exposure, and it's necessary to know what you're looking for, musically, to grow those sensibilities. Music is interpreted differently from person-to-person. Melody, texture, rhythm, lyricism, etc. or any combination of the musical elements contribute to one's enjoyment, and they all exist on a really wide spectrum. Upbringing and culture + How your enjoyment could stem from different memories, places, etc.  There are so many variables to consider, but those same qualities I've mentioned could be extrapolated to other aspects of life. "Music is not so different to life", as Herbie Hancock puts it. The same problem you have with people lacking open-mindedness is not asimilar to categorizing or compartmentalizing those who aren't open-minded. Binary thinking runs rampant on the internet and irl, but if you approach topics gingerly you'd be surprised how many people want to listen. Just don't try to push it with those unwilling. For us on a music forum, it might be hard for some to think this way, but music is just like every other artistic medium. My fine art "repertoire" is not very large as paintings don't really retain my interest atm. Someone's interest in music is the same. It could be in its infancy and might grow in the future, or they let it be because that's not what inspires/intrigues them. Many people have music "tunnel vision", and I've gone through it myself. I think the internet which plays the largest role in "The Shrinking World", has been pivotal in increasing open-mindedness regarding diff. cultures and by extension, music.
 
So, I think it'll get better, but for now I just let people like whatever they want ¯\_(ツ)_/¯. Both parties should be respectful about it, obv. The internet will always have stuck up people b/c it reflects life (w/ some added anonymity.)

@Zeus Sounds to me like reality is hitting you hard, or rather the reality you were probably well aware of already is becoming clearer and clearer, and you can't keep up with processing it into your everyday life, so it's become your new life.
 
Similar situation for me currently.
I am aware that Denver is not Chicago, and I could go on forever about how it's kicking my ass and how much I hate it for changing me as a person, but I think that unless some good fortune comes my (and especially my gf's, the poor girl) way, I know we're going to have to move back. It's just a matter of when the fuck I'm going to make that call.
 
There's simply less help here for someone like myself, and unless becoming some sort of dependable entrepreneur is going to help with the other shit I'm doing with contract work to build my rep up, sustaining both of us (my gf's had wayyyy worse luck this year holding a job) is going to eat at me until I say something I don't mean to her.
 
I knew the risks, and I'm swimming in needles, hoping to alleviate that pain in some way, where instead I should just get out of the fucking pool.
