http://www.sunkrad.jp/band.html already week old news they're signed onto sunkrad but the website has officially been updated with gulu gulu listed under the band's section. also i guess interesting tidbit, in japanese on the sunkrad website they have the band name listed as グルグル but on gulu gulu's twitter they spell it as ぐるぐる, works either way but not a whole lot of consistency lol

Just to add to this, I noticed in their latest mini album credits that "DYNAMITE TOMMY" is the executive producer, which is a name any Dir fan must have seen at least once, so if they're on the same label and being produced by the same guy who's been behind Dir en Grey for the majority of their career makes me very curious about the future of this band and if they will ever amount to Dir levels of success in the future. Of course, that doesn't happen overnight, but still, it's piqued my interest somewhat.

  2. I just don't get why they feel a need to keep re-recording songs that were already great as they were. Like the deeper vileness, has been changed minimally and every one of those changes in my opinion isn't as good as the original and basically same with Clever Sleazoid, why fix what's not broken ya know? If they want to re-record really old songs with better production and a more modern touch that sounds fine but at this rate, we will have re-recordings of their whole discography and the originals will never be heard live again. 😛 + I got to admit, I am a sucker for the original Hydra and is a shame they probably wont ever play that again.

I can’t see a TIW live album being received well after so many of us JUST seen those songs live. And getting a lot of em on the past few DVDS.

Haha I don't seriously expect that to happen, I was basically just saying that I think the songs sound better live than the studio versions. As was previously mentioned basically all the songs are available live through other releases so would be possible to make your own live version of the album by ripping those. 😛

ahgg how much criticism right? here it seems that someone says something negative and everyone follows them like a herd of goats haha .. I do like the song ... it is very jiluka, it is true that it is not surprising in the musical, but it is a good song

Wow, not everyone has to think everything a band releases is great ya know? I've been a fan of Jiluka for a while and have basically all their releases and just feel that this one song is very sub-par compared to their previous stuff and actually feel that it has lost some of the Jiluka vibes that made them stand out to begin with. But that's just my opinion, if you enjoy the song then great but just because you do, doesn't mean everyone else has to. 😛 Although I'm still looking forward to the EP that's meant to be out later this year, hoping they step the game back up for it.

Someone needs to rip the audio from the Ochita Blu-ray. There's also the TWOM Blu-ray that has 10 songs from TIW era.

Yep, I already mentioned the World of Mercy videos. + When I saw them in London last they played the whole album and it sounds sooooo much better live so I'd be all over a live release of this album. But damn, am gutted that I'm going to be missing out on the physical version of Ochita.... Guess we're going to have to hunt down extremely over-priced second hand versions. Or just cross fingers and hope they basically release the same thing later down the rest of the line for the rest of us. Does seem like an odd move to only release a physical version for those who were going to attend a show, but hell, Japanese bands marketing themselves these days.... nothing surprises me too much. haha.

Haha isn't it just the most terrible things you've seen?

His earlier work is definitely something special. Sadly, It's unlikely that we'll get anything like that now though considering he no longer works with those past members and just his stage of life. Say10 felt like it was trying to capture that same energy in some ways, but imo it just sounded tired and out of steam.

Yeah, I really don't get how it got approved to be released... lol. Especially when he has had some pretty awesome videos in the past, why make something worse? Maybe a budget thing?

And yeah, agree with all that tbh. Sad times really, but guess we can still enjoy the classic albums so isn't all bad!

I heard they will be releasing the band scores for ARCHE and The Insulated World soon, but you need to pay 100 Yen for each page separately.

Wow, I am all over that! Definitely keen to try and get those, how does it work though? You got a link with more info or something? The 100 yen a  page thing sounds a little dumb.

Anyone else listen to the new single? It's.....well, it's out.

Pro tip: Save yourself a blinding and just listen to the audio.

Haha your comment got my curiosity so had to watch the video, and yep, probably one of the worst music videos I've ever seen. 😛

As for the song itself, I have to agree with the above comment really, nothing particularly special about it. I miss the old days of MM when it was pure bangers and actual chaos. Like this song is called "we are chaos" but the song is far from chaotic. haha.

Been having the song on repeat all morning, idk what it is about it just sounds so much better than anything they released in the last few years

Still never going to be as good as the Cazqui days, that guy is not only a mad good guitarist but an amazing song writer as well. That's just my opinion anyway, nothing they've done since he's left has come close to the "hits" from those days.

  10. "It Knows" on amazon prime and it was wank, now you all know too. haha. I legitimately feel like the idea of the film is actually pretty interesting but just had such terrible execution, give it to Takashi Miike, Shinya Tsukamoto or Sion Sono and it would probably be amazing.
