Yeah... I'm gonna snatch some DL link and see if it's even worth buying. This is no longer a band I can blindly trust with my money. And I can see a lot of people doing that too.

I have loved DIMLIM from the beginning and even sought out some of the live limited stuff and paid a ridiculous price for the actual CD's, but I'm not risking this either. Definitely going to try before I buy.

he has good potential for stand-up comedy after quitting vk/music scene for good x

The funniest thing about that is Retsu takes himself so seriously he doesn't realise he's actually being hilarious.

their cloaks reek of B*tushka but this is vk so I'm getting my hopes up way too high on this one

Basically my thoughts, except that I don't have high hopes for this. Just another band who've joined the "priest robe" roster. haha. Pretty lame considering I'm sure most bands are only doing that to try and ride that wave of popularity that Batushka and Cult of Fire started. Yes it's an interesting look, but maybe doing something ORIGINAL would be more interesting that copying other bands who are doing it better than you. haha.

  4. Definitely into this. I did also find it a little weird that they say this is the "1st album" when there is already a full album. But in fairness, the actual 1st album is more like a glorified demo of hotpotch ideas all thrown together, seemed like the album made up of "all Issei's ideas before he actually knew what the next band he was going to form was going to actually do". But am excited to hear this, am even more curious to know what the second disc will contain. Hopefully it'll be the "LIVE LIMITED ONLY COLLECTION". hahaha.

The gig in Chile is going to be terrible, mark my words.

Well it seems like all their gigs are going to be terrible at the moment. Would probably help them if they you know..... Got themselves a complete lineup.

Digital and Physical tracklist are the same.

    Physical will be amazon exclusive

This really doesn't give me any more faith in this album at all, looks like judging by these song titles it's heavily trying to appeal to a western audience (no surprises there) and looks more like it's going for that more mainstream/pop appeal. This is highly worrying. Retsu keeps going on saying this is the greatest album DIMLIM have made so far blahblahblah, but maybe, this is true only in his opinion and can almost hear the shitstorm already.

I wont pretend to know how long it takes to go from recording something to having it finally mastered and ready for an album but retsu was posting images from the studio of them recording as recent as like last week so idk is this thing even ready. I mean it could be old images or just a short process for all I know but still feels weird this album is just 3 weeks away

Bloody well isn't a short process I can tell you that! :P But they've been slogging away at this for ages so should be basically done by now, you'd have thought anyway.

  7. Seems like they got a Brazil show booked now as well. Based on their most recent, lack of, activity I don't see how this is going to work. Is their following abroad that big considering people seem to be losing interest in them in Japan where they are meant to be thriving. If I remember correctly, I remember seeing they're planning to do the mexico show as a three piece and backing tracks which as reported is pretty dead to watch live so as much as I wish them luck I still am kind of concerned this is going to end up as a massive fail and they are going to fold. p.s. The new album cover is dead too, wtf are they actually thinking with that? I thought the reveal of the title (Which is also dead, haha) was just a teaser, not the actual cover.....lol

it's like they were listening since the BMTH part sounds like voice of pain remastered and that chirldren of despair part in the middle. But the break down parts are very EMS, so it's a flop for me. It's almost like they are tryna be DADA but Dada's metalcore doesnt sound so shitty nether does a lot of other VK bands doing metalcore. This is so pathetic rather than disappointing. While sadie had a lot of basic riffage, they had character in their music. i guessn it's only the Big 2 rather than 3. 🖕🖕🖕🖕🖕🖕🖕

Fuck sake, can we describe the actual dynamics of the music in non-comparative to other V Kei band terms? haha.

  9. All this sounds a bit dubious to me. I really would love this new album to be killer and DIMLIM to do well with this Mexico show and in the future, but can't see it paying off somehow. I'll get the album as want to make proper judgement, but expecting a train wreck.

Anyway with all of their make up it's difficult to guess 😅

Beat me to it. + Who cares how old they are? What difference does that make to the music itself?

    That name...

I know right, must've taken hours of brain racking and creative thinking to come up with that one. haha.

I respect the effort but idk what's worse between hearing him sing in English or the fact that it took up 2 songs with what I consider one of their more boring individual songs.

This and the ridiculous price tag is why I skipped this release. haha.

  13. Not sure why people are so surprised they're mainly playing songs from the Insulated World, ya know, considering it is their latest album and they're obviously still trying to promote it. haha. Am glad to see "The Final" is starting to get dropped from setlists as well, I know it may be an unpopular opinion but I seriously think it's one of their most boring songs (Jessica is pretty whack too....haha) and almost always skip it. haha. So would rather that time be taken up with something better.

i'm p sure they're aiming to sell it out during preorder phase and I'm not happy about it

Yeah it looks like it and is a bit of a dick move, but V Kei business is just absolutely rammed with dick moves when it comes to the business side of things. haha.

    tax increase in Japan

Ah really? Didn't know about that, bit shitty. Going to have to stop being so adventurous with my purchases then .

regardless of what happens to dim bitches next I'm legit thrilled issei departed so early x

I know he's a dickhead, but he is legitimately a great musician and song-writer and as that was my favourite era of DIMLIM I consider that quite a big blow, I mean they have shown they can write good music without him, but they haven't really shown they can manage themselves since Issei left, and since NAZARE seem to be doing pretty well for themselves, so regardless of how much anyone likes/dislikes him, he puts in the work writing good music, gets shit done business wise and overall manages his band(s) much better. So ya know.....

are we really going to forget the upgrade in quality of music dimlim went through when transitioning from issei to retsu lol.

Have said this from the beginning and although later DIMLIM is still all good in my opinion, still a much bigger fan of the Issei days. And not going to lie, if Issei was still "in charge" of DIMLIM, (which I'm aware there are/would be problems with, we're just assuming everything would be cool and Issei isn't a nobsack) they'd probably be thriving and kicking plenty of ass still. I mean look at NAZARE, seem very active, doing a lot of shows and putting out a good load of releases, some tracks which in my opinion would've worked pretty well as follow ups to the early DIMLIM stuff (look at Innocence for example) so it's a shame how things have worked out but I still 100% think Retsu needs to just leave DIMLIM alone for now and go back to music with DIMLIM or without DIMLIM when he has his shit together basically. This "second album" if it ever gets released is either going to make or break the band.

Wow that Innocence B-side is certainly.. something.

Lie.? Yeah I swear these guys just use any composition any of the guys come up with an don't have a filter for "hang on a second, isn't this is a bit.....???" haha.
