I just got called "babes" by a complete stranger who then tried to hug me. I think she was just taking the piss, but it was weird.

  sometimes people really do such things without malice, just being sweet and everything, but such things always catch me off guard and i get nervous and try to escape as soon as possible lol. don't know if i can blame her without knowing her true intentions but such situations can be really stressful indeed ._.

  Yeah, that's the feeling I got. I think she probably was just being friendly, but when people are too forward like that, it just intimidates me somewhat. She got the message when I started stuttering and backing away, at least.
