I wonder if there is singles fatigue in their fanbase over there or if this is considered a good move. In here they've definitely plateu'd during the last two

Their 2019 singles seem to still have sold really well in japan so ya i think fans there dont care what type of release it is

  2. Tour final is tonight and tour finals have always been when theyve announced new music so start placing your bets, are we moving onto single #9 or are they gonna shake it up with a mini or full length

I like them a lot, but this market strategy idea of stretching the hype releasing a single with a high quality pv every four months is really gay.

It's like an AAA DLC-based band.

i mean it still amounts to 10-12 songs a year so i think its fine, but i do think the gap between the last single and whatever comes next will be the longest so maybe whatever is next will be a mini of full length album

    ve just re-checked Kizu.

How can they be that popular? They are like "big" from the start.

Is it because of vocalist Lime (来夢), because he was popular in LEZARD?  Was LEZARD really that popular?

theres an explanation on the kizu thread. lezard is apart of whatever free will/FWD is and was, so when lime left the band and started up a kizu they automatically became apart of fwd (specifically damage is the name of their label but the affiliations are obvious). if you look at any unofficial upload of kizu on youtube, in the tags it all says, licensed to youtube by direngreyweb

ˆ I think we've been through that already

Each to their own, you either buy it or don't. As a forum I don't think we have to collectively white knight for some high school dropout's rockstar dreams in 2020 when the amazon is burning and shit. If h00mans can't find a more sustainable way to produce and distribute music other than by manufacturing rows upon rows of plastic junk to sell for idiotic prices to fund all the parasitic middle men of that entire process who have nothing to do with the music anyway, then I don't mind if we just nuke the entire culture and go back to playing drums in circles.

unrelated to your post but it looks like the edgy Akane tweet in your sig has disappeared and i feel like that was a moment that needs to be preserved until the end of time

This is the full version though. Merged both threads. Strange that they released this well over a year later...

kiwamu probably looked at his hard drive and realized he had never released it til now lol. with that being said, imo its very notable how much better the quality sounds on the newest mini compared to all these releases.

  7. Announcement today is a oneman show in japan, assuming nothing else gets announced between now and then this is gonna be their first show in japan since this past december.

Definitely read Chainsaw Man, it's really, really good. The best Jump series in a loooong time.

If you end up liking it I recommend Fire Punch, it's by the same author. The name and pitch might make it seem like a bog-standard shonen but... well, you'll just have to read it lmao

I recall starting chainsaw man awhile ago and thought it was wild af (granted that was only maybe 10-20 chapters) so I cant wait to continue it. And thanks for the heads up on fire punch, I'll try to get around to it once I catch up on everything else

  9. Gotte back into reading some manga after figuring out I can get away with reading as much as I want at work lol.

Over the past month I've read Monster and Death Note in its entirety. I've seen both anime plenty of times but never read the manga for it. Monster is probably more or less as faithful as an adaptation as it can get, death note on the other hand felt pretty different. Especially during major 2nd half with Near and Mello. Also read a manga called Aoharu x Machinegun at my friends request because it's her favorite. Also read the new Death Note one shot that came out just this past monday, I thought it was a bit dull but it's still good to see Near and Ryuk again. And right now I'm keeping up with Gleipnir, the Promised Neverland, and Dr. Stone all of which I really enjoy and cant wait to see how each series continues and eventually ends. In terms of other manga I plan on starting/catching up with, I'm probably leaning towards Chainsaw Man, Blue Exorcist, and One Piece (yes I'm serious lol)
