Not necessarily a bad thing. The more an album pushes 60+ minutes the more the possibility of there being boring filler.

There was a magazine review already in Japan. Apparently the album is very aggressive and there are a lot of harsh vocals.

The band will go on hiatus as of 2018.09.17 after their live at Haziketemazare Festival.
Several lives have been canceled (those written in the post).
The reason will be announced tomorrow during their live.
 
 

For as much as I love visual kei, there are plenty of practices I detest. I could go on forever. It wouldn't be fair to celebrate all of the good in the scene without admitting the bad as well. There are so many things that make me sad, make me irate, or make me want to rip my hair out that it was hard to settle on just five. Like I said above, I have way more than five things that annoy me about the scene. D’erlanger came back and released, what, six albums? Dead End and Luna Sea both released two. And they’ve all been back together about as long as X Japan has been revived. 
 
That video is hilarious by the way. All of that guy’s jrock content is. Just to hear him butcher every single Japanese word and name. 
 
Not exaggerarion, in his Gazette video he pronounces Uruha “unroo”. 

Off Topic, but how did they get away with The Marrow of A Bone? Holy shit, this album is a fucking mess. Some songs are solid but, a good third of the album is like..."why?"

The worst thing about this whole album fiasco is that we already heard pretty much 90% of the songs. IIRC the only tracks we haven't heard yet are "Rock Star" or whatever it was its name and "Kiss the Sky" aka "OooOOOOoooooooOOOOohh" (at least not on its entirety).

I think there was a bit of outrage when it was announced that that Attack on Titan song wouldn't feature Toshi on it (it was refered as being by"X Japan ft. Hyde" at first and then he changed it to "Yoshiki ft. Hyde)

@platy I thought I explicitly acknowledged this when I brought it up. Let me reiterate that I understand that, and that my point is not that you have to believe in all rumors or believe in no rumors. My point is if you're going to smugtweet about how correct and smart Dir en grey is to have ditched Kisaki you should at least demonstrate a semblance of awareness that the Dir house isn't exactly clean when it comes to allegations even if you don't weigh them the same. (This should probably extend to trying to hold up "vk celeb you like" as moral over "vk celeb you don't like that has been implicated" in general because you don't fucking know them or what they've done anyway.)
