  1. lynch. will release an album/EP, lest the world ceases to exist

Mysterious bands will continue to be mostly trash, but the fad will show no signs of stopping

DISREIGN will release another single or two and then go into hibernation mode, again, until The GazettE release something fresh

JILUKA will release an acoustic EP, with breakdowns

NCBL will recruit some unknowns, ditch the visuals and release an uninspired metalcore album (Cazqui's guitar wankery shall be missed)

B.P.R. bands will form a union and seize the means of production

NAZARE goes on to be bigger than DIMLIM (quite undeservedly)

Yoshiki will proudly announce another signature product (I dunno, cheese, maybe)

Ryo will FINALLY release original music, either in a band or solo

  3. I don't think much good could come out of their reunion. Sure, all of their projects after Deluhi went kinda nowhere and are quite lackluster, considering the musicians we are talking about, but it seems like their tastes have shifted so much that it just wouldn't be the way it used to. It would likely come to even more watered down Far East Dizain, only with Juri on vocals. (+ Keita's harsh vocals are better)

Though, if they do get back together, which I still hope happens (despite what I said), I wish my prediction is very, very wrong.

CODA might still be a solid ballad, it just ain't what I wanted or expected...at all.

The time spent listening would be multiplied many times over if all VK artists put their music on Spotify (and if Spotify's quality would match that of my mobile music player)...I had to resort to my MP3 collection

Anyway, bless Starwave and a few others for putting their bands on Spotify, I fucked hard with Fixer's full-lenght as it seems, since all the songs are by them and not lynch. who are actually my top artist... :D

  5. This is probably their most solid record to date, I felt quite indifferent having listened to the digest, but after hearing the whole thing, the samples just didn't do the songs justice (as per usual with DADAROMA). None of the songs comes close to the likes of Lucid Dream, but overall, all of them flow really well and even though the genres and mood changes are all over the place, they just fit together as an EP. The compositions seem really mature and the added symphonic touches never felt out of place. The production is perfect, especially the drums, some bands should take notes. Definitely a highlight of the year and strong comeback to form.

  6. A nice continuation of where Issei-era DIMLIM left off. His drumming is tight as always and guitars are great. Vocalist is holding them back, a bit, tho. His cleans are lacking and anything other than lows sound quite off.

Also those Aharewata highs near the end were just a bit too obvious and unnecessary.

But I'm really curious about how for they are gonna develop, so far, seems really promising.

  7. I'm so disappointed by Jiluka's new album. Every song has the same structure and even sounds the same the whole album around. Ricko's harsh vocals have never been stellar and it shows here, combined with his lacking english during the clean parts...it's one of his worst performances. While Sena is technically a brilliant guitarist, he doesn't seem to have any imagination beyond super fast sweep-picking and the same fucking breakdown they've been using for years. Also, it would be kinda nice if Zyean did more than constant blast beats, but considering the songs that Sena presented, I suppose it didn't leave much room to breathe, creatively. (correct me if I'm wrong, but I think he does most of the songwriting)

Maybe I expected too much of this record, considering they've released so many gems in the past (while innovating with every release), but damn, I'm so fucking salty now. It's still quality stuff that I like, but with the standard I held them to...this album just didn't cut it.

It's like Far East Dizain all over again...

  8. The drumming sounds off throughout the whole song 😕 it doesn't flow as it's supposed to, it just doesn't fit the song. The overexposed bass drum and weird cymbal hits near the end. I wanna like the song, but I really can't. The drums hurt the overall expression quite badly...aaaand it has an unwatchable PV to boot. Made me dizzy.

Just listened the whole album on spotify, and it wouldn't be a bad album at all if that was released by

a different band, but coming from DEZERT,you don't recognize them anymore.

they always had one or two, maybe 3  poppy tracks on their releases, however

THIS time  feels like Chiaki said in the studio "oh,i think i don't wanna scream that much on this album"

You can only be glad that their old stuff lasted time enough to influenciate bands like

Mamireta and DAMY,cuz like it or not, they're kinda keeping that "mad" shit alive

Exactly my feelings on the album. It's quite pleasant, well-executed and easy to listen to for a chill afternoon. Which is entirely what I don't look for in a DEZERT album...
