Considering Tzk and Koichi's contract ended with the label and they're the only two to stop whilst Meto and Plastic man carry on playing, I'd say it was a statement

Yeah and they are the only two in shadow paint. Although his voice breaking did sound convincing to me, I'd suppose it could be both authentic and a statement.

  2. My wording might've been a little jumbled my bad lol, but it is an undercut, just with very long layers. At his length he should be able to pull it all into a rubber band on the top of his head like an onion.

Similar to this, but a slightly lower shave line. Also he has a bit of extra hair shaved where his bangs start, and above the ear. But otherwise it's the same as regular undercut.

Similar kind of cut with no styling (red extra parts he has shaved) and his part line is lower to the side.

If you mean the kind of undercut with half the hair gone, you could flip it all to one side, this is like what I was going for, but I did not shave off the entire side.

  3. Ok so the bright red line is where the 'part' would be, though in his haircut he has a pseudo part (which will possibly require styling and gel or hair fixative depending on your hair type.)
Grey area- is where your long hair remains.

Light red- is where all hair is shaved.

Dotted line- is where your shaved line meets your hair.

It's easiest to think of it like the bowl cut, but you're only removing the underside instead of the top layer. I also found an old picture where you can kind of see in mine, dotted line is up to where I shaved around my entire head.

Mine is more standard, as I did not cut into the part or sides an extra inch.

I recommend starting out with just the sides to see how your hair behaves with it, or you can go all in like I did lol, but I really fucked up the very first time I tried so proceed with caution . After you get used to doing it, tapering the sides into the back at varying length can look better than just the flat shaved look. Though it requires more upkeep.

  4. it's a kind of undercut, but he just has a little extra done where his part is and on that one side.

When I used to do mine I just pulled a section at a time up and shaved off the under layer.

Depending on your skull shape though having the back shaved to the skin can make your head look like an alien if you leave a lot on the back and top lol.

I can make a diagram if it's too unclear when I get on the PC

  5. @blackdoll

Hmm I dunno then, I just searched through 25 pages of Tsuzuku and Tsuzuku & Ryoga in English and Japanese with time frame from 2014-15 and 2013-15...can't find anything else but this. It was cached and the original is deleted, no date (but I'm on mobile).

If this was it...again just looks like black paint for aesthetic.

The only results that come up for Tzk and blackface in that timeline are from the MCH thread, and the new 2017 pic.

I tried sorry lol, I'm usually good at digging things up.

where are tsu blackface pics? what is his intent with the black paint?

I guess people are talking about this, but to me it just looks like solid black paint, not blackface. His lips are black, there's no circles around his eyes. But idk.

Versus Higiri from ラッコ...where it seems very blatant and embarrassing what's going on here.

  7. Wow awesome...That's good late night walkin music, reminds me a bit of Mute Swan. Gonna go check out their other stuff.

    edit

don't know why I said Mute Swan, guess cause I listened to them all that day lol, but I meant The Black Angels...either way thanks again for sharing, about to go try to order at least one of their cds.

i guess you have a point there. I just was expecting/wanting his "high" voice to sound like the chorus in @2:57

Oof I wish it sounded that way...
I was trying to point what I thought his higher voice tone was reminding me of in KERBEROS (especially around 1:12), and it's kind of like Wolfmother, at least to me. Don't really like the sound of it here though it feels jarring since it's all I can think about.

  9. It was definitely Gackt, but very specifically Dybbuk, Uncontrol and Ares because the songs weren't credited on the site and Youtube didn't exist yet I had no way of knowing what/who I was listening to until later.

I found the songs by chance because I was trying to find a copy of the Plavalaguna opera song from Fifth Element on radio blog club...but a bunch of random shit came up instead, good thing lol. Eventually led to Malice Mizer and on from there.

I know gojira and muse I like them both.

    Especially gojira ♥

Looks like that's 3 for MUSE haha, one of the first outside countries they gained more popularity in was Japan as I understand...I wonder if it's that their sound in their old days was vaguely reminiscent of some V系. It would make sense why I launched off from them into the scene liking similar vocals, especially the higher pitched operatic kind.
Also, like Chi said, Arctic Monkey's are pretty good too, though I like the album "Humbug" the most (It was co-produced by vocalist of Queens of the Stone Age Josh Homme). I'd say checkout "Humbug", "Favorite Worst Nightmare", and "Whatever People say I am, That's What I'm Not".

  11. Sorry I just drew these on (harder to find a blank ear diagram than I thought it'd be lol, but some of my favorite setups. I like when things are balanced.

    m9iCiUk.png

I'd have the 2nd one at the very least if I could but I'm too active. I bet some of these bandmen with horrendously crooked earl and nose piercings have some gnarly scars.

Industrials, tragus / double tragus always look sweet with multiple lobe or helix piercings.

That said, I don't know how familiar you are with more complicated piercings (if you are then ignore this), but having a big setup like any of these would take 3-4 years at the least to be completed and healed properly, not to mention gauging puts even more strain on healing time and any reputable piercer would not do more than 2 a year, with maybe the exception of lobe / upper lobe.

  12. I don't really listen to any non JP metal, except for Gojira,
    more psych-metal this song https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hnRv4azfris

But this is my all time favorite of theirs.

For rock, MUSE is my favorite band of all time pre 2009 (although I still like a few individual tracks here and there after that, just mostly disappointed.)

Also it's funny, the lucky bastards in Tokyo got to see 2 of my favorite tracks performed live (Futurism and Yes Please), Futurism has only been done live 4 or 5 times. I've seen them live six times but never have gotten to hear either. (Other than MUSE, Queens of The Stone Age are second place.)

  13. Tonight's post is, pretty old...and pretty janky (those fish l o l ) / unfinished but one I'd like to redo better also on canvas.

    65e0a34613507bad167b65242a1821fa-d5fesaa

I also did not get hired at the place I interviewed at and I'm pretty bummed. Guess it's a point towards just continuing what I've been doing

  14. Welcome / I was a lurker too.

Cool you have a good few bands in common with me I'll check out the ones I haven't heard.

Also I say no embarrassment needed...everyone has different tastes, especially in music.
