Ozileras10 reacted to heresytrash in the GazettE
It's not that Uruha doesn't want to, he does already. I'm talking about Reita and Kai, but maybe they don't care. It's Aoi who actually does, because they've talked about it before how he feels that his music doesn't shine in the GazettE. In his latest HERESY interview he mentions Ruki wanted something different for the NINTH, but when Aoi showed him what he did he would be like "Well, that's too different." It seems that no matter what Aoi brings to the table, it's shot down and it's a shame because he does compose great songs in my opinion.
It's part of the reason Aoi wanted to leave in the first place, that was around TOXIC/DIVISION.

Ok so the bright red line is where the 'part' would be, though in his haircut he has a pseudo part (which will possibly require styling and gel or hair fixative depending on your hair type.)
Grey area- is where your long hair remains.
Light red- is where all hair is shaved.
Dotted line- is where your shaved line meets your hair.
It's easiest to think of it like the bowl cut, but you're only removing the underside instead of the top layer. I also found an old picture where you can kind of see in mine, dotted line is up to where I shaved around my entire head.
Mine is more standard, as I did not cut into the part or sides an extra inch.
I recommend starting out with just the sides to see how your hair behaves with it, or you can go all in like I did lol, but I really fucked up the very first time I tried so proceed with caution . After you get used to doing it, tapering the sides into the back at varying length can look better than just the flat shaved look. Though it requires more upkeep.

it's a kind of undercut, but he just has a little extra done where his part is and on that one side.
When I used to do mine I just pulled a section at a time up and shaved off the under layer.
Depending on your skull shape though having the back shaved to the skin can make your head look like an alien if you leave a lot on the back and top lol.
I can make a diagram if it's too unclear when I get on the PC

TOMORROW NEVER DIES is a fan favorite I believe because of the message. It's a song Ruki wrote for fans and encouraging them not to commit suicide, that it's not the answer even if life is hard. So I'm thinking that's part of the reason why people love it so much, even if the song itself isn't so great. At least two of my friends within the fandom have TOMORROW NEVER DIES tattooed on them.

unless they keep making anime intro/outro songs, their CD sales will be stuck within same fanbase that seemingly loses interest over time as well/prefers the itunes purchases to a boxed copy (I think they're releasing several editions for ninth to counteract this trend too.)
their fans also have odd taste, dogma doesn't have anything like TOMORROW NEVER DIES which is a fan favorite, but for me it's one of their worst songs ever.

I just want to take a moment once again and thank the GazettE for creating the marvel that is バレッタ.
You ask me to choose one song to represent why I enjoy listening to them, and it will probably be this.

Even though I’m sick of core-influenced metal with synths, and have been for years, I find the GazettE to be a guilty pleasure I’ve stuck with since DIM and have been enjoying them more and more as time goes by. They’re fun. Yeah, so they recycle riffs occasionally (I think it largely works); but their sound is distinct, so listening to them feels like a refreshing and enjoyable experience.
The one thing I love about core-influenced metal is the gnarly down-tuned chugging, especially when it gets technical, and I think GazettE does an awesome job with that. Their songwriting seems to have improved as well with their guitar riffs being far more “substantive” than the old days of Discharge and Headache Man, no doubt a result of their developing western-metal influences.

I’ve had a Heresy membership for the past three years and to be honest I find it relatively cheap compared to other bands. I’m excited to see what they have in store for members during this new era. That being said, I think for what you pay for, you don’t get a whole lot out of it when it comes to their international fans. That’s to be expected.
I’m not the biggest GazettE fan nor are they my favorite band but I do appreciate that they’ve since earned the respect they deserve over the years and continue to push out good music for what it’s worth. I don’t mind supporting them any way I can because after bands like 12012 and Sadie calling it quits, there’s only a few other Japanese bands that I even care about anymore.
I’m getting older, I’m married, have a kid on the way, work way too much and really don’t have the time to get into new music like I used to. So, seeing the GazettE still active and doing their thing and seeing them grow from their Cockayne Soup days to NINE really puts a smile on my face.

Like seriously?!
So you are not a fan ? Lol
I think all their live performances are amazing. Better than their studio version. One of the greatest bands in vk
Which people only hate cause they are the most popular :-\ so what is your favorite band?

Ozileras10 reacted to nekkichi in the GazettE
well it will outlive their sound for sure.
he was tweeting about a new song that is AwEsOmE, but won't make it on the album - so, technically, next single (unless they drop a surprise EP.)

I lowkey dig that Aoi is already hyping up their next single after this that doesn't even have a name yet.
I wonder if they gave up on the idea of releasing a cohesive album and have went straight to writing filler tracks after announcing the pushed release date.

Ozileras10 reacted to Himeaimichu in Which one of these bands is the most popular? DeG, Mucc or The GazettE
I say it really depends. Do you mean in general, or within the Vkei scene?
In general, Dir en Grey definitely ranks highest, having combined popularity within the Vkei scene and within the general heavy metal scene. There are surprisingly a ton of edgelords who like Dir en Grey, but think all Vkei is trash (and therefore refuse to listen to any Dir en Grey album made before Uroboros)
But within Vkei, the GazettE definitely outranks Dir en Grey. You can go quite a bit in a vkei community without hearing about Dir en Grey, but not 5 seconds without even hearing about The GazettE.
Now Mucc is a pretty interesting case. I say Mucc definitely ranks somewhat on the top 10 most popular VisualKei bands list, but they have a specific part in the Vkei scene where they rank supreme, only behind one other band: MisshitsuKei. MisshitsuKei is one of those vkei forms that fall under the umbrella term "erogurokei", and it comes from the name of Caligari's record label, Misshitsu Neurose, which Mucc used to be signed to. Though MisshitsuKei is now a rarely used term, go on a few dead Eroguro-AnguraKei communities, and look at discussions of favourite bands, and you'll see a few common trends. Mostly people talking about Caligari and Mucc, with Guruguru Eigakan, Inugami Circus Dan and Metronome ranking just behind. Modern Mucc can't really be described as MisshitsuKei however, since they have expanded since signing to Universal and Danger Crue. Also, the most popular band in the confusing sea that is the Eroguro-Angura scene (Which I for years erroneously considered bands like Kuroyuri to Kage to be a part of), they're still outranked by Caligari and maybe Guruguru Eigakan. Their influence on other influential bands, such as Kagerou and Girugamesh, though, can't be denied. But among all these 3, I say they're the least popular.
