Sakito (NIGHTMARE) will release his solo project but since 2013 he decided he'd be an aspiring DJ and the project will suck ass. 
 
Despite how hyped I am for The Gazette's Traces Vol.2 album, it'll be rather underwhelming

I'm keeping my eye on MIZTAVLA, theyve released some pretty decent stuff. Their first mini album was so good I've been following them since 

Agreed. His vibrato / screamo voice he had the first two or three years in SADS is nowhere to be heard now. Whether it's from stylistic changes or an inability to do so anymore, who knows. I've always speculated that what I imagine are a pack-of-day cigarette habit over 20-30 years probably doesn't help musician stay in their prime for long.
 
Compare that to someone like Ryuichi Kawamura of Luna Sea who after a certain point in his career started being healthier and taking his voice and singing seriously. He's able to do those marathon 70-1100 song concerts and did some mic-less ones and his voice still sounds pretty damn good. It's a shame that his solo work leaves much to be desired.

He is really taking all this acoustic thing a but too far... first all those acoustic shows in a nearly weekly basis mostly at the very same venue and now this. And I was at one of those concerts and it was actually surprisingly great and powerful, but about 95% of the audience was made up of middle-aged ladies and grannies and I guess it is the same at all these shows. I want my crazy punk Kiyoharu back, not this "old rockstar playing mellow self-covers for old ladies" thing. O__o
