Mikado himself claimed that he feels he's the one to instigate it, so it's not much of a rumor.

    Google-san translates it as:

Yes I knew that, but thank you. :) I meant that I was surprised that the lingering rumors from the past several months were actually true. Sorry if my wording wasn't clear.

    Now that's a bummer...

This struggle to find a sound tho stick to unfortunately really sounds like a band who wants to follow what's trending, instead of keeping to their own. that 180º turn meteoroid did was weird as fuck. I thought they were finding their feet with GreeΣ, GreeM is an amazing song, and だから嫌いなんだ、雨なんて is really good aswell

    hoping that vocalist sticks around

Both Machi compositions I may add! Even in MeteoroiD, I loved their music, but it was Machi's songs that roped me in. I was really hoping if GreeΣ disbanded that Tsukishiro and Machi were going to stick together since they seemed to hit it off really well. Even if Machi is saying something about retirement now, I'm hoping he changes his mind once he gets the chance to rest a little.

  3. I'm disappointed, but not surprised. I had really high hopes for them from the start, and they put on a really good show, but they were still working towards finding their sound. They spent so long with no new lives announced (bar Ral's birthday/Halloween) that everyone was already suspicious. What does surprise me is that Mikado was the one to instigate it, even if that's been the rumor on Tanuki.

Like I've said elsewhere, this doesn't hit me as hard as Meteoroid's disbandment, but knowing so many of them are dropping from the industry this time - that's kind of a bitter pill to swallow, especially with such high hopes from everyone starting out.

  4. I'm sorry for people who have had bad experiences with bangya. However, like any people, there's as many good as there are bad. It really depends on the band and the fans that they attract. Personally speaking, while I've had some bad experiences, overall I made a lot of wonderful friends and memories when I was living in Japan. Didn't matter if we liked the same band guy or not, and if anything it just gave us something to talk about. I've gone to eat with them, they've made me gifts, I helped to buy those flowers you see outside the lives sometimes - everyone's mileage will vary, but not all bangya are awful. Give it a try, and if the interaction isn't worth pursuing, then drop it. Simple as that. (I've honestly had more trouble with foreign fans than Japanese fan in this respect tbh.)

  5. It's funny because I'd run into the members of Zigzag like a year ago passing out fliers and they seemed pretty cool, but I never thought much of them. Then I forgot all about them until I saw this thread and realized I was seeing them at a taiban live.

I gotta say, the hype is worth. I ended up having a lot of fun. It was engaging, funny, and I actually really dug the music. The singer honestly reminded me of Isshi from Kagrra, so I got all nostalgic at the end and ended up buying a CD. Pretty bummed I'm leaving Japan for awhile soon or I'd definitely give them another go.

  6. Say what you want about MiA being boring, but when it comes to Negator or Acme, he's the guy you want to be in front of. xD

Although as for event lives, Tsuzuku has said that he really prefers to do one-mans - so even if he's not half-assing them or anything, it's understandable why people would get the impression that he's not really feeling it.

  7. It was a really fun live, and last night's performance of -XV- was something Tsuzuku had been refining throughout the tour, so it's going to be pretty boss on the DVD. That being said, as much as I love them, I don't even know if I'll pay out 5,000 yen for this.

How are the lives? One could be lead to believe from a 15 song tour final that they just can't wait for this shit to be over with.

The lives have still been super fun. But there have been no MCs or encores for the duration of this tour. I'm not super in the know or anything, but it feels like it's less about them being over Mejibray and more about some management issue behind the scenes. Anyone else getting that vibe?

(On the plus side, not to get too personal, but I'm ecstatic I finally got to hear Raven. It took over a year, no joke; it's not even like they don't play it, I just kept missing the shows where they did, lol.)

  10. This. Also generally speaking almost every Mejibray encore wraps up with Messiah, so when that staple's gone the show feels oddly incomplete. I hope they don't do this for the entire duration of the tour, but it's starting to look like that's the way it's going down. Wouldn't be surprised if they kept it going until their Akasaka show at this point. I can't say for sure (obviously), but I get the feeling they're doing it to make a statement - they're not really giving the impression of being happy or relieved about this hiatus.

    Do they still play sadisgate

I got into them with that song

Don't hold me to it, but they'll probably play it at least once this tour; they last played it during the No Mouth Slivers tour in Osaka Big Cat this past November.

To people who say that their new stuff is bad.

    Here is two different things:

    1) Band live

    2) Records

All the songs i didn't liked that much after hearing it live became one of my favourite. They do great shows and some "weird" songs are created for live performances. Believe me... See them live first and then talk.

Couldn't be more true. Like I said, it took seeing them live to make me a fan.

No encore in Niigata. Apparently the band and fans alike were crying. Setlist later if people want it.
