DECAYS new lives and lineup announced (aie is on guitar and vocals!)

DECAYS announced a series of lives for december, and they've brought a new look and lineup for the three shows!

I'm beginning to get the impression that it was planned from the start they have some NIN or Anti-Feminism thing going on where it's just Die being the one consistent member and the rest just comes and goes. 

 

Anyway, since aie is involved now I'm suddenly interested again, but so far Decays have only disappointed me (inb4 someone goes on a tangent again about how people should stop comparing members' side projects to Dir en grey all the time, that's not even the point)

And actually It really does seem like Die is out 2 switch things up with the line up constantly so the sound is fresh on every album. I like this. Granted I really only know Aie from KEEL and some of DEADMAN, I'm stoked to see how this collab will be. Lets get it. I will miss the previous line up, BABY WHO WANDERS is still a stellar album.

The only issue with this lineup isn’t that neither aie or Die are great vocalists. Maybe the sound will change to accommodate that.

So far I more or less ignored them, but aie? Now I have to check. Also, I wonder how they are sounding together, since so far I only know DIE's guitar from DEG, and aie sound's quite different and very recognizable

this doesn't sound like Deg at all, maybe like electronic numbers they've been releasing around macabre/kisou on and off (i.e. embryo but with completely different vocals.)

Die and aie both do the jangly Strat thing, so it’s a good pairing.

Yes, according to the OHP aie is in the current line up.

Yes, according to the OHP aie is in the current line up. 

Well it’s not exactly the most technical musical term for it, but that’s what I call it.   I associate that sound with clean tones coming from Fender guitars, but I think Die uses ESPs, with some modeled after Telecasters. 

 

Die does do it in DEG. For a recent example listen to Aka.
