emmny 4139 Posted August 27, 2015 yeah visual kei has some decent music here and there ok cool BUT lets talk about the looks that probably tickled your fancy and got you into the genre/subculture in the first place. if there's a thread similar to this, im sorry in advance^^. use this for now to discuss your all time favourite visual looks! post the looks that probably made u gasp in your head, cry tears of joy, inspire yaoi fanfiction, make you run to your hair stylist circa 2007 or just took your breath away. malice mizer - merveiles + funeral goth era there's nothing really left to say about mm's visuals, i mean LOOK AT THEM. d'espairsray - 2004-2005 there's a lot to be said for how amazing old d'espairsray are, but their visuals were as brilliant and dark as the music. hizumi's outfit from the murder's day DVD looks like its straight out of a julius or rick owens show from 2010 and the s&m themed costumes looked beautful. even up to coll:set their gothic look stayed intact, the album artwork is breath taking. dezert - june 2014 the pigtails. the smeared lipstick. kira's pants. saz's green hair, face mask and all black straightjacket looking thing = perfection i'll add more as time goes on, please feel free to share ur fav looks^^ Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

My favourite look of theirs, just stunning. Awoi. One of my favourite darker bands. Perfect looks all round. yazzmad. Which are obviously not everyone's cup of tea. Then La'Mule. Their blood splattered white clothes were pretty iconic (and cool) Good old Madeth gray'll had amazing looks and early VIDOLL. It kinds gives me many of the same vibes as bands such as Coven, Pentagram, Black Sabbath, Paul Chain and Black Hole did in the 60's, 70's and 80's. It's just got this cool, occult vibe to it. PsychoΔelica 648 Posted September 2, 2015 Recently I really dig cali≠gari's (and Shuuji's Goatbed) visuals. They really stands out from other VK bands for me. I love cali≠gari's weirdness because it's so much fun to look at. And I think it fits their music perfectly. I do like most of the looks they have put up so far (except the very early ones), so this is only one of my favorites. On a side note I wish I could meet Shuuji and maybe ask him for some styling tips. Kisaki and Syndrome did that too. well, many bands did it back then, so i guess that's an “iconic” and typical look (for 90s vk at least) I am personally more a fan of blood spattered doctors and mad scientists.
