These are my favourites, but I have yet to watch a lot of films that I'm sure will impress me a lot. Films such as Yellow, Snowpiercer, Kaze tachinu, Kaguyahime no monogatari, The Giant Spider, Sledge, They Die By Dawn and You're Next among others are films that could challenge for a spot in my top 10. Hard to say. But I am sure both Yellow and Snowpiercer will make it on my top 10 list. Well, if Yellow comes before I die, that is. Shouldn't really be calling it a 2013 film either as it hasn't been relead yet. Only got some selected screenings in 2012 and 2013 for immortals. We mortals have to continue our waiting. God damn!

Yes, the bands you mentioned have had their own influence in earlier vk music, but when we take the influences most old vkei artists cited in their interviews into account - Bauhaus and Japan (band) are more often mentioned than say, The Cure or Duran Duran (and much more influencing that way)
 


For example: Sylvian has influenced many old vk singers (Morrie, Kiyoharu, Atsushi, Hyde...even Kyo himself) and come to think of this tho, the vibe of this song is somewhat similar to Kuroyume's pop song "Kuchizuke" - you could call him, say, "the father of typical vk vocals"
 


you can hear this kind of vocal/instrumental work (listen to those chords) in many, many post-punk-y vk songs...also: the bass.
 
Back to the topic tho, bands that remind me of vk as I knew it and loved it would be above - I mentioned reasons above.

Didn't particularly like it/"get it". The visuals were good though.

Been reading Neal Stephenson's The Diamond Age for a while now (kinda slowly progressing xD), it's a pretty cool spin on cyberpunk/sci-fi, kinda 'steampunk in the future' vibe.

LOL things like this are such bullcrap... "Oooh we'll disband if we don't get X amount of ppl at the show"
 
Well tough luck, if their band sucks and the turnout is so low they have to resort to such tactics (almost like blackmailing) then maybe they should realize that nobody wants to see their crappy tryhard flop band, and they should move on to more productive and fulfilling things. Of course this way they'll get some extra money maybe and an ego-boost to delude them further into continuing until they pull off another one of these stunts.

ex-Psysalia Psysalis Psyche guitarist Toru Matsumoto messaged me on Facebook about this project or band called Sandy Frank... I guess it's his new thing now? (information is very scarce)
He only wrote "after psysalia" and a link for their official site. Anyway, they have a trippy video up too.
