I thought seapunk was dead.

Just adding a post before this thread gets locked :P. 

The instrumentals are not bad, but the vocals and the mixing of the vocals is pretty bad. Some of the songs sound like the vocalist recorded in the bathroom and then dubbed over the existing track. The over-enunciated/accented Japanese has and continues to be a deal breaker for me, but that's stating the obvious. Overall, they've improved, but they need more work. (Honestly, I feel like this is the case with many gaijin-kei bands that are at least semi-talented)

The anticipated drop was underwhelming ;_;, but the song is nice overall...If you're not already burnt out from synth/club-kei.

Also, who needs a mic when you have a cigarette and a bottle of white wine XD.

Kinda glad I only witnessed the "Sonic-portion" of the soap shoe era... If I knew these were actual shoes as a child, I would've been 10x weirder than I already was.

Those descending guitar licks (or whatever they are) are wonky af and the vocals need to be implemented better.

The skills are there, they just need to develop a more cohesive sound.

So Undertale has suddenly got a sequel in the works, Deltarune (it's an anagram of "Undertale".)

Shiina Mio never disappoints. Really excited.

Didn't follow Produce48, but I really like the debut song! I'll have to check out the full release :D.

*Ahh, I remember watching some snippets of the first and second ep. I didn't feel like going through another Produce series after last season, but I forgot to check up on the concept groups. Memory Fabricators (기억 조작단) - 너에게 닿기를 (To reach you) is my favorite concept songs, but 1000% and See You Again are also really good (the former two being Gfriend-like concepts.) Totally stanning Nako now, she has ungodly cuteness levels. Reminds me of Han Hyeri in S1.

I've always interpreted it similar to how pilot television series episodes are labeled "Episode 0". Nips love the stylistic stuff (even moreso vk), so latching on to a trope like this isn't that surprising. 

I think it's useful if the band hasn't found their " concept" yet and they're testing the waters. That being said, most of the time it's literally just their first release.

If you play it w/o watching the preview and mentally insert your joe schmoe vk bandoman vocalist, it really just comes off as standard squeak-kei. 

The whole melody is pretty standard-fare, but I don't hate it.

I've only gone to lives where my friends were interested in most of the bands, not myself. 

Combine that with being antisocial af & having really sensitive ears (I have to wear earplugs so I don't go deaf for a week.)

I missed out on OOR, but they were playing with a bunch of teeny-bopper bands.

RiR was in DC, but I wasn't keen on driving there myself. Also, not a fan of anime cons.

I want to see a prog/math rock concert or another bluegrass one at some point. They're less taxing on the ears compared to metal and deathcore.

Someone took some fashion tips from Hyde, lol.

There is a lot happening at once w/ this song, but none of it came off as discordant, as "crowded" as the song sounds. I'll probably enjoy the track a lot more when it's not YT compressed. Aside from that, I really like how the chorus rises and the overall melody. Hikarito and the gang has done it again!
