filth_y got a reaction from Komorebi in ex-MEJIBRAY members new project, "8P-SB" has formed
My problem with vk in general after seeing many lives over the last years. There is the image of a bandmember that is created and there is the real bandmember that shins through when you talk to them/listen to the MC live.
Always shocked how many "dark", "depressive" or "heavy" bands are just in fact cheerful guys that love pop music and probably play heavy music because its "cool".

Thought so, thanks for confirming! Watching the last balalaika lives the one red glove, the suit, the masks, the atmosphere everything pointed towards L. Suprised noonelse here seemed to notice? Really glad he will be back!!
Edit: In cases like this I miss Trombe who could give us the whole lineup of the band without it being posted anywhere (and before the members even knew themselves??)

filth_y reacted to Peace Heavy mk II in まみれた (Mamireta) collection album release
PUNCH RECORD is a sub-label of Forum (owned by Misa of Babylon, D'avid, etc) and that also houses what Mejibray was signed to (Whiteside Group, iirc). Their bandmates are KRAD and Devil Kitty (although, DK hasn't actually done anything since their last single got canceled in August...but their merch is listed through PR's site).

Well, first of all im glad the production isn't utter shit like the entire COCKROACH. discography was. Also SO glad that his use of autotune isnt THAT obvious anymore and horrible sounding like in COCKROACH.
Second, i couldnt stop thinking about Taros twitter post when listening to the samples:
"Im doing vk, but what i have no idea what is popular in vk nowadays. Because i dont listen to vk i have no idea. Well, whatever."
I wonder why he is even doing vk cause he seemed to love the more hardcore/metalcore style. To me they sound somehwat like they dont know what they want to do. Lets see how they develop, if not disband quickly they might develop their style and sound better?

vk finally nailed the ultimate incel bait formula tbh
featuring a bihet frontman, kawaii yaoi guitar-shonen and not one, not two, but THREE sultry gravure hussiz to leech tha moneys from the affluent and unfortunately looking gentlemen
as opposed to bacteria-infested present??..

filth_y got a reaction from yakihiko in VRZEL will disband + best album "<6-SIX->" release
Following them since 2014 i know maybe 5-10 songs they played live but didnt release. But most of them dont fit their last style of "sexy vk" and go back to more of their "hard band" start so i doubt they'll ever be released. Also maybe one of the old members wrote them and they dont want to release it as their song (but also i think Cion wrote nearly all songs himself?). But still i really would love it to listen CRAMMY recorded, it was very fun live.
Also, Ab initio is one of their best songs, hope they'll include it.

filth_y got a reaction from deadman in まみれた(Mamireta) three-month consecutive singles release !
For me, somehow they start to get repetitive already, especially their song structures and really obviously the vocals (I mostly like what hes doing, but i feel hes out of ideas already and does the same thing in every song). 終日終わり is your typical filler song and i defintly heard those riffs in 死魔流し before. Still liking them and especially that bass! Wonder how many fans are at their lives, i can imagine they were one of the fastest growing vk indies in the last year(s)?

Why? Just sounds like DiSPiИA to me.. You probably have DiSPiИA's live DVD too? I thought this ジグソウ song could easily be one of those played on the DVD but unreleased yet..

Not that bad i think. Instrumentally-wise good and most of the members look really good/cool in reality (well, everyone except the vocalist). However, while i could get used to their (objectively quite bad) vocalist on CD since it somehow fits to the atmosphere, it doesnt translate very well live for me. Just sounds like every note he sings is wrong/crooked.. But his low screams arent bad, suprisingly! (his high ones horrible on the other hand^^). He was hugging a big pillow nearly the entire time while singing (since its a while ago, im not sure but i think while the last song he threw it in the audience and asked them to return it, which they did).
If you like them on CD you should give them a shot, i just dont need to see them a 2nd time. I can still enjoy them a lot on CD/PV.

I noticed the session too and was wondering if he moved to Tokyo. Would be really cool if they are Tokyo-based. I felt COCKROACH. played too rarely in Tokyo and i didnt want to fly to Sapporo everytime to see Kyotaro live, lol.

filth_y reacted to cvltic in DAYDALA Invalidates/Revalidates Tickets, Causes 6000+ Post Shitstorm on Tanuki
Slated to host a show on 4/18 at Ikebukuro EDGE (w/ 万鬼隊 / type:『seeD』/ MIDGARD / 爆烈ストーム!! & others), DAYDALA announced on March 27th that they would render ticket #1 invalid due to reselling for profit.
This is not altogether unheard of -- tickets that have been resold have been banned from entry, but it's usually for bigger bands.
However, it seems the holder of #1 -- we'll call her S -- was a little confused by this choice.
She tweeted that she had definitely been the original purchaser of the ticket through legitimate means, and eventually posted the DMs exchanged between her and the official DAYDALA account. She was even able to provide a receipt of the purchase (these receipts do not contain the ticket number), but they opted to offer her only a refund.
When S pressed them to provide proof that #1 was in fact resold, they posted screenshots from tanuki (this is historical -- it is an open secret that bands and management browse the board, but an official account posting screenshots of 1) a selling post and 2) a tanumail conversation is unheard of).
The listing originally posted on tanuki claims to have tickets #1-3. The chances of this poster being S are already fairly low as her receipt shows the price of one ticket. The odds of picking up #1 and #2-3 are stacked very high against her unless she juggles multiple SMS-verified accounts and somehow obtained #1 and #2-3, or is selling on behalf of a friend who was coincidentally able to purchase #2-3. More importantly though, the proof photo doesn't show #1 at all. Additionally, the source of the tanumail screenshot is also up for debate -- unless the band was trying to purchase the resold tickets themselves (something that has been done before, but generally by larger bands b/c I don't think DAYDALA could have afforded even the original 15,000y asking price), it seems they received it as a "tip" from someone else.
This really opened the floodgates -- why weren't #2 and #3 banned as well if this was the source? Why was #1 banned despite being the only one without solid evidence?
Their next step was to ban all of #1-3 but provide refunds upon further discussion with S. By this point tanuki was in an absolute frothing rage. People posting "for sale" posts for numbers 4-100 in a joking attempt to get them invalidated descended as DAYDALA thread after DAYDALA thread was created.
Member Haku attempted various forms of damage control on his individual twitter, but the horde was angry and wanted justice for S.
Finally, they rescinded their invalidation for all three tickets and gave a heartfelt apology.
Masato of meta-kei/tanuki-kei/meme-kei band kaitou sentai lined up to take a shot at DAYDALA for their slip-up:
"I was tired and sleeping forever. Good morning.
I had a dream that the #1 ticket I worked so hard to get was suddenly rendered invalid.
Hope it doesn't come true..."

Kinda gave up on the band after seing them live, but this sample got me excited again. They're amazing on CD/PV.
Btw: Idk why i've never expected it, but this band had the highest amount of depressive/suicidal looking teenagers/menhera girls with arms full of cuts in a crowd i've ever seen live.

How are they doing lately?
I always feel they are one of the most underated bands i've ever seen in V系.
Im not even a huge fan of them - but i think objectively they are one of the most skilled musicians in their genre, constantly putting out flawless releases, great live shows.. why they all just have around 5k twitter followers?

Listened to a old V.A. (New Born Kerberos) recently and thought this seems obvious:

filth_y got a reaction from CAT5 in envy returns with new lineup
yOshi also sings in some other bands, but in a style that totally wouldnt fit envy imo. I thought he would step down a little from music after his marriage last year.
Hiroki is the best drummer from all bands i've seen in japan over the years imo. Such a beast on the drums and nice guy on top.
I thought envy was kind of idol for killie but especially for hiha, so i guess the guys must have been really happy to support them

filth_y got a reaction from emmny in BUK BUK will disband
That is really sad! They were on of the best newcomers in years, their fanbase was "bigger" than most bands i've seen, there were members from famous bands/managers at their sponsored events checking them out, they got somewhat 10-15 amazing songs... Most of the songs even had recorded background music/professional sounding effects. Really thought they will announce some new single or something...
I guess they were too young, all around 16-17, and start a something new? I felt their singer was more into softer songs judging from his behavior and session bands and their guitarist into heavy stuff, so maybe musical differences? Really confused!
