Stage one of my half-sleeve complete!! It's Versailles-themed. Six roses, one for each member. Stage two will be the band name on the other side of my arm and stage three is an incredible color scheme. What do you guys think?

Copy and paste nega riff, chugcore, average vocals. I was hoping for more. :/

How is this awesome? Man either I've lost my ears or people are just easily impressed. I'm not enjoying the deathcore influences of modern vk.

Easily one of the best visual kei releases of the year in my opinion and I think it deserves some kind of review.

    1: 失い(Ushinai) -

A very solid opening song! Honestly very solid all the way throughout. - 8.5/10

    2: I'M SHIT NOODLE ,BUT...

I'M SHIT NOODLE , BUT... I'm not a bad song! I kind of expected a heavier filler track and that's pretty much what we got here. A pretty damn good filler track at that. Main riff kind of reminds me of VanessA's " -散歌-retrospection". - 8/10

    3: ETERNAL SLEEP

Probably one of the best ballad type songs I've heard jin sing since nega's "reminiscence". - 9/10

I wonder what do they think while selling 10 cds to one person. That they buy it for their 9 friends?
If bands use live-limited cds as a bait why don't they exchange them for tickets?

Oh well! And how do they listen to it? Only at home? Don't tell me they still use portable cd players.

Would re-releasing live limited stuff on a cd pack later honestly stop people from going to lives? Would people wait 2 or 3 + more years instead of just getting it at a show? I understand the reasoning for live limited stuff but when it's live limited forever then It becomes completely obscure and essentially doesn't exist anymore. I just want to be able to hear it SOME DAY even if I have to wait 10 years. It's better than the music vanishing forever if you don't get it at the right time.

I'm not sure if live limited releases have always been as common as they are now but it seems most new and underground bands take this kind of approach. Even some of the bigger bands release several live limited stuff. My problem with it is that the music is never available in any other way unless the bands post their songs on youtube or something else.

This is obviously bad for overseas fans because they are only limited to a few amount of people that attend their lives. What I want to know is, why not release their music digitally at least so that all of their fans can buy and listen to their music? If manufacturing of cd's is the issue this seems like the obvious thing to do. Do bands just not think about it or could they just not care any less about fans outside of japan?

it's not about shocking you, if you are open minded .is about shocking and annoy a repressed , delicate society.to provoke those people by showing you do not care about their repressive rules. also it's a trick to attract attention. so the fan should feel some short of amazement or shock, if you feel they are laughable and ridiculous and there is no point .

maistream media have use everything by now.and are more open minded compared to the past. so it's not shocking when people use it everywhere and have accepted it. but you still have to try and show the same.maybe it's like a tradition lol.
if you have maistream accepted pop appearence and attitude. with pretty hair and fashion clothes.what's the point .i think you lost the meaning of vkei .and it's roots.
remember old x japan that had kind of a thrash metal /punk glam ? influenced look with big hair.

do you have any idea of how expensive recording studio equipment is or the expertise required to mix and master? anyone can record at home but it's gonna sound like you recorded at home.

being a working musician is a full time job. you can't hold down a 9-5 and be travelling the country whilst soundchecking/publicising/practising/recording/mastering throughout the day and playing gigs at night.

a lot of musicians love performing. but even more musicians love eating and being able to pay rent.
how dare these musicians charge us, the fans!, for taking time out of their schedule to pretend to be interested in hugging you.

crowdfunding is the future, while it is open to abuse, it pretty much self-regulates as most fans aren't willing to be stung twice on musicians who promise and don't deliver or musicians who con (amanda palmer). crowdfunding gives fans a chance to help from the ground up new music/live tours/etc - and I hope it'll be really embraced within the vk community in japan after this as a way of getting overseas fans to finally put their money where their mouths are with complaining about accessibility to music.

however i won't be contributing to alice nine's as they are trash

I think crowdfunding can definitely be done right. A while ago the VK band Lacroix Despheres started up an indiegogo campaign for their 3rd album. It was going to be released either way, but they were raising money in order to increase the album budget and hopefully work with Video Game Orchestra to get a live orchestra on their new album. I ended up tossing in $35 to get a signed CD and some goodies, which I though was a pretty fair price. Unfortunately overseas VK fans are uber cheap and they only got a total of 33 backers with an average amount of about $35 per person totaling up to $1140(with ~$6131 donated through the Japanese crowdfunding site MotionGallery). Now they didn't end up hitting their goals to record with a live orchestra. I guess you could say that the campaign "failed", but they still get that money to help increase the production values, which is good.

The way I look at crowd-funding stuff like this is just a glorified pre-order system where you get to choose your own pre-order bonus. I think it's a great system for smaller bands who can't get the backing of labels, but still want to do the best that they can. Honestly, I would absolutely love it if more indie VK bands would jump on the bandwagon.

I was digging that spot until 1:11. I don't have any issue with electronic music per se but I don't think the GazettE have done anything particularly interesting with it in their last three albums either. I was hoping they'd have moved on from it but that teaser suggests otherwise. Live song snippet sounds okay but its way too short and in too low quality to make any judgements.

I appreciate this band in general but this sounds like a song I could get into as more than just a few-listen gimmick.
They have hella potential and skill but it's up to them at all times how seriously they want to take it.

Well if you guys followed my words you would know that Last summer after Akujo no Hohoemi single, i said i made my peice with them, meaning it's fine if they disband. As the super slave I knew this was coming, the way they hop from one sound to another it's no wonder that they would come to a point where they might have trouble getting something fresh. And Lycaon would rather die then be a genric warshed up nothing new boring piece of nothing. Also ahhhhh dahhhhh they came back to metal, i knew then, its like when you are writing a paper you kinda write what you wrote in the introduction but in different words. the different words being the different guitar tunning and electronics and vocals.

Lycaon will stay in my heart forever for the strength and idea's they've gave me. Yuuki will always be my price for taking care of me. I love how they went out with a bang. 10 new songs off the bat, all flawless on one of the the best albums ever, Yuuki slaying kaya's look publicly, slaying metalcore, and just not letting any other band or artist touch them.

Lycaon 2008-2015. May the half incubus Prince rise, and reign over the land of music again!
