I'm sorry blackdoll but your examples hurt my ears too much chug chug. :C I stopped listening to deathcore when i was like 16 But then again i guess my examples wouldn't be "technically" super great either. I like some black metal and stuff too i guess but I'll keep it strictly vk for now i already mentioned Dio and unsraw and the like. to be honest i think harsher vocals in general are usually the most subjective of all i mean is there really a right or wrong way to scream into a mic? if it sounds okay and doesn't fuck up your throat then i say its good. haha For me personally i normally prefer when a band uses this type of vocal sparingly and when it fits the mood i can't stand to hear that for an entire song no matter how good it sounds It'll just give me a headache. While there are times i am in the mood for really angry music its definitely not at all times.

He looks like asagi but sounds like a poor man's Yukari (baiser) almost.

I can kind of get why people don't like Jin as a vocalist he kind of has this disgusting tone in his voice but i think that fit nega quite well since nega was a disgusting kind of band, think "muddy cult". oh and, "Hi, I am jin, vomiter, i vomit my feelings."

I think its quite dumb as well, You'll stop listening to visual kei bands for example because they're visual kei and you only care about the "music" but then at the same time you'll only listen to a band if they look like this. Its like the opposite extreme of only listening to visual kei.

I won't write a post that long but I'll just say Mikaru of Dio - Distraught Overlord has the best VK growl I've ever heard. Nothing in my eyes compares. UnsraW and some others are really nice too. I feel these types of vocals can add a certain emotion that singing can't always give. Things like pain, anger, etc are better portrayed in harsher vocals.

We listen to all of the matina stuff, and mirage/syndrome was a main influence on "dystopia" i want to try some other things too and add my own flair to it. I think it will be a lot of fun.

Ahhh Well thanks a lot then! If you have any musical talent whatsoever though I'd still like to hear more demo's if you're interested we're still very young and a little inexperienced too (At least i am as this is my second project).

It starts out great and there are some really nice bits in there but it drags on a lot and gets to be too repetitive... Where are the solo's? at least they could throw in a bland solo in there to spice it up a bit.
