1: X Japan 2: Galneryus 3: Dir en Grey 4: Luna Sea 5: Kuroyume I could only find five most of these are ex-visual kei too lol though most of my non-vkei is classical artists and anime stuff.

At least starting out it wouldn't be a bad idea but it might be harder to get a full band sound online but its not impossible. My project is sort of a industrial/baroque kote kei/gothic fusion most of our songs are just industrial/barouqe but our next album will be more metal and kote kei influenced we also use electronic drums since we don't have a drummer lol. Its not ideal but it works and it helps with experience and expression, anyway good luck! +1 lol

Try to avoid hiatus bands, for me in order... 1: Moi Dix Mois 2: Lacroix Despheres 3: Art Cube 4: CELL-セル- 5: Ru:natic 6: D 7: Grieva 8: DIAURA 9: Mejibray 10: Pan-d-ra Kil:erre, Jupiter, and Kamijo's new project (if you want to call that a band) would maybe earn a spot on this list too when they put out something. oh and there is The piass but they haven't been active in years. I also thought it would be a good idea to rate each band if you have time in comparison to visual kei as a whole. I'd like to see others favorites and recommendations.

awesome lineup i'll have to pick this up only thing i really hate about this is I'm not particularly in love with satoshi's voice and i hate that all the pv's are just satoshi glamour shots... i want to see kaz and setsuna in a video together :c

do you guys hate kamijo's voice in general or just late versailles kamijo? you don't think lyrical sympathy through jubilee he sounds so bad right? I hope kamijo will put out another preview i still think it will be better than jupiter

I thought i read somewhere that he's retiring? i guess its false or that information hasn't gotten here yet.

If its really true that he's going to release the single under his label instead that's very good news! its best for an artist like kamijo to keep away from the stress of a major corporate label like warner anyway and everything to date released Under "Sherow Artist Society" has been great! while on the other hand every bit of their work under warner except for Asceanded Master and Jubilee sounded rushed, uninspired, and lazy in comparison, well at least to me all i know is i noticed a change in some way with the band after jubilee but i don't know how to exactly explain it. I just couldn't see the passion in them anymore. having a staff nitpicking on every minor detail constantly in the studio only restricts the artist mind i guess. but that's just my opinion. I guess we will see if warner was responsible for some of the changes of the band or not and see how they all fare in new projects. I have no idea what to expect from kamijo especially he's kind of unpredictable in terms of what his voice will sound like in a way he's always changing his voice so it can really be hit or miss with him so you don't know what to expect. I'm excited what will come of this though.
