The title may look a bit confusing. Just for clarification "Kentaro" is my artist nickname that I use on social media. I've derived it from Gargoyle guitarist, Kentaro Yokota. I just happened to come up with it after I joined MH 😅

Anyway, I'm just a furry artist. My artstyle is inspired from Disney and Chuck Jones, but recently I've been thinking about implementing some manga elements to it. I do digital art (mostly Paint Tool SAI and recently CSP), as well as traditional (promarkers), just need do more the later ones. I actually wanted to share my art here many years ago, but I just felt I wasn't good enough. And my drawings from back then looked nothing like I do today. Now my skills improved a lot, so you can enjoy it now! 😄

For now most of my art is made of furries, but I'm trying to practice humans as well, as I genuinely wanna draw some J-rockers and J-metallers! 😎

W sumie mogę się ponownie udzielić, bo czemu nie. Skoro mówimy o gustach, jakieś 10 lat temu sam siedziałem w Visual Kei, moimi faworytami były The Gazette, Dir en Grey, D'espairsRay, Sadie, Girugamesh. Po czym jakoś wypadłem z obiegu i przeniosłem się na japoński heavy metal (Loudness, X-Japan, Anthem, Seikima-II, Sex Machineguns itp). Aczkolwiek z ostatnich lat z VK mocno podobają mi się Defspiral i Nocturnal Bloodlust. Jeśli ktoś zna inne teraźniejsze zespoły w tych klimatach, jestem otwarty na rekomendacje! 😃 Szkoda że nas Polaków tu tak mało, bo można by było zrobić np. jakąś grupę Discordową. Jakby ktoś chciał ze mną popisać, to zapraszam 🙂

Haven't seen any general threads about artists in the past few months, so why not bring it back? 😄

I'd love to bring up one of the greatest Japanese metal acts of the last few years, namely Gyze.
 

I've got to know Gyze way back in 2017. They played as a support for Battle Beast and "Northern Hell Song" album was brand new at the time.

I remember even speaking along with my friends with Ryoji, Shuji and Aruta after the show. One hell of a good moment to practice my language skills 😃

My favourite album of theirs would be Asian Chaos, because of traditional Japanese feel to it. That felt like breath of fresh air to me. Eventhough this is their only album I own physically, I still plan to buy the remaining three.

While I not really into death metal, but damn, Gyze is an absolute exception. Thier approach to melodeath is just beautiful!

2009 was 10 years ago? No, wait, 11! The days when I was a newbie to Visual Kei and Japanese music in general. And over those years I've became a huge enthusiast 😄

Aside that, Gazette's Dim, Lynch's Shadows and Girugamesh "Music" (it's from '08 but still) do really take me back!

My last concert this year was Crossfaith in Hydrozagadka venue in Warsaw. February to be specific, before covid broke. And probably, the last one in 2020 😔 But I'll never forget the awesomeness and waiting an hour to have photo with Kenta and Teru! 🤩

A bit late news, but the album cover and tracklist finally got revealed. 10 songs in total, including two re-recordings, Metal Venture Man and sone other song probably used for some kind of pachinko game.

Returned from Diru live in Warsaw yesterday. Overall it was awesome, fans were jumping and headbanging like crazy 😃

My only two problems was that the live felt too short, despite a good setlist and Kyo didn't seem to have such a contact with audience, like Loudness did.

But back to the topic, am I the only one who thinks that Die looked badass the most?

It's been comfirmed that one of the greatest modern day J-metal legends are releasing a new 12th album called "Iron Soul" in November 28th.

For now I'm listening to the album on Spotify waiting for my physical copy to arrive.

Ordered it from CD Japan, in early August, so hope I won't have to wait for it as long as for The Kanmuri's recent CD 😐

Back to the topic, I'm liking Keibetsu no Hajimari, Rubbish Heap, Utafumi. Also Keigaku no Yoku and the way how it starts calm and slowly progresses into total fury.
Plus, what be a Diru album without a more mellow song, like Aka or Ranunculus?

Overall, I've noticed ever since TMOAB came out, Diru has been putting out aggressive and calmer albums in turns.
Uroboros had their fair share of heavy and soft, melodic songs.
DSS was dominated by much harder and rocking songs, save for Lotus and Vanitas (which even were the highlights in my book).
Arche was in some ways similar to Uroboros, with more Kyo's clean singing and even progressive songs.
And now we have Insulated World, which leans on the heavier side again

Anyone else has that feeling?

Not only the song is very upbeat, it's their first song entirely in English, or should I say: Engrish. Odd video setting and Nawo's costume just add ore awesomeness.

Still the good old Maximum the Hormone we all know and love 😊

And the end there's an announcement of the new single on Novemver 2018. Quite funny how it abrupts at the end, then "around" kanji gets written 😃

One thing is sure: MtH is not dead!!!

Back to the topic, I have the 3rd deja vu feeling, but it's not directly written that Nawo's going to have another child.

Wonder if are they ever going to produce any new material. Six years passed between Buikikaesu and Yoshuu Fukushuu. Now it's another 6 since Yoshuu dropped.

Anyway, wishing then the best in their family life 😊

What's up with Kyo's grandpa-like look? 😂 I guess he never ceases to surprise with his image.
If I'm not mistaken, there was an early album pick-up party at the Paruko shop in Nagoya, where Kyo was signing the album copies.
I've just gotten jealous, but on the other hand only 10 days left till the album drops, so I can wait 😀

It's been quite a while since my last visit to Monochrome Heaven. Some of you may remember me, but a lot of you may not. 
I've already introduced myself way back in 2011, so I've decided to make a new introduction thread 😁

Anyway...

My name's Kacper and I'm from Poland. I'm currently 26.
My major hobbies include heavy metal, learning Japanese, drawing, computer graphic design and some sport activities during free time  
When it comes to music, I love power/speed metal, traditional heavy metal and a bit of thrash. But when there is something else and it doesn't have to be metal, I like it too 😉

I've been into Japanese music since 2008, started with Visual Kei, then progressed into J-metal.

My favourites range from classic (X Japan, Loudness, Seikima-II, Bow Wow/Vow Wow, Anthem, Outrage) to modern bands (Sex Machineguns, The Kanmuri, Gargoyle, Concerto Moon, Crossfaith, Dir en Grey). Perhaps, there is anyone else into Japanese metal?  

There's a chance I'll be writing album reviews in the future
