  1. I don't know whether approve or disapprove the topic since I'm an open minded person and I usually don't like to post negative comments. But it doesn't change the fact that there are some things that i just cannot stand.

At first I wonder what's generally wrong with Jrock/Vk scene nowadays?

I'm not generalizing entire but really, now a lot part of them sounds rather the same and it's quite difficult to find a good one. Most of these good ones are disbanding :( Seems that times are changing. But if it's about the bands:

I hate oshare kei. Reason: It's mostly based on as earlier someone said "weee kawaii desu ne, ubercute, rainbows popping out from the butts" Example? An Cafe - the vocalist just creeps the hell out of me with his uber-cute apperarnce. Fangirls are worshipping that, but to me these oshare kei pictures should be used in flash animations like Scary Maze Prank, when the ugly picture appears with a shrill loud scream.

I also hate PS Company, not that they're known, but hate the way how it's overrated and commercial, nothing new nothing special, just all sound boringly the same. Another ones mentioned Undercore? There was a band, can't remember a name but I listened to it, and it was just boring and no power, like any of the present Jrock bands, who often tend to lose their balls when the chorus kicks in ;P

I really f***g hate the direction girugamesh is going right now. It's absolute bullshit. They're sacrificing originality for fame. Fuck that.

You're not alone. A lot of bands are also changing into worse. Example? Girugamesh - they used to be a great band, standing out as an unique one. I can't stand seeing them now selling out with generic boredom and no more rock! They're throwing their talent, originality, and the experience that they gained at events like Wacken Open Air away, getting on lot of preteen nyappy-crappy oshare fangirls. This is terrible! The worst downfall of a band in history!

I hate when people are people talk about Dir en grey becoming American as well. Plz! What does in rock music means that this one sounds American or this one sounds Japanese? What the heck has music anything to do with nationality? Heavy guitars, hard vocals = American? As if only American bands sound like that. FOR REAL? This is just plain stupid. Metal, rock it's an universal genre. And It has a lot representants even in Japan.

When I was looking through the posts I fonud this:

Most DEG fans love the band soo much only because Kyo-san kawaii desu, and they have reached such relative acclaim that a Japanese band has never seen. It is near IMPOSSIBLE to find a Dir en grey fan that loves the music, for the MUSIC. It's always another factor which is utter bullshit.

Well, I think such a "fans" should never be allowed to call themselves fans. I'm a Dir en Grey fan, because of music, for me they always presented sth good anyway :)

  2. *facepalm*

Gosh, this is a total profanation! :x And that's why I'm pro-Anti Disney Channel Movement! This is a brainwash to the new generation, with these untalented pseudoartists like Jonas Sisters or Justin Weeder! What's wrong with the music industry nowadays?

@Maiku, at least your showed an better, woth paying attention cover, though the vocalist's Engrish was funny :D

  3. I guys know what you feel. Very bad situation after all :(

I had a plans to travel to Japan and train my Japanese skills to pass Japanese Language Proficiency Test at Level 3, but I don't know whether will it be that possible.

Even my Japanese language teacher who usually goes to his home in Kobe every summer, has told that due to disaster he will stay in my country this year.

  4. Dunno, but recently I have an obsession with exploring Japanese indies (and oldies too) :D

There is a video by a band called The Creator Of :

    MFj0g3jgbn4

Weird name of the band, but I like the song a lot :D

And there is also another band which I'm liking a lot, called Uzumaki in kanji - 宇頭巻, Don't confuse it with Naruto :)

    fnPSoKZQLUs

    debIdSjTo0c&feature=related

    NdAgT0aVZDY

It may not sound totally Indie but, the topic was about non-Visual Kei bands, so I hope that I got into correct topic :)

  5. That very picture is the reason why I don't say I listen to visual kei as much as I say "I listen to Japanese music" or "I listen to music from all over the globe". It's embarrassing to be associated with people like them. It's OK to be a fan of whatever it is you listen to but there's a difference between enthusiasm and pointless imitation and every person in that pic has gone so far past the latter I have no words to describe how pathetic their existence must be.

I've got friends up here that when I first told them went "LOL ANIME MUSIC". All those people do is reinforce the stereotypes. It took two years to tear that down somewhat.

Also, everyone in that picture discovered visual kei two weeks ago and thinks trading mindless American music for mindless Japanese music is an improvement overall. Approximately half of them will soon get tired of visual kei given a year and transition to mindless Korean music.

Cannot agree more, such a bunch of inbred babies make us, Japanese music fans, look bad. I listen to a band because of music that the band is making. That's why I'm actually giving up Visual Kei. Maybe they're still some good ones, but If you guys feel like hide your music taste, or ashamed of saying that you like VK I can give you all one wise advise: "Break this generic VK border!" Trust me guys, all this "super-kawaii" bullshit DOES NOT represent Japan at all. It's a total stereotype. There is a huge amount normal good Japanese bands, but these so-called weeaboos seem to have no bloody idea about that.

I love japanese music because they have visual kei instead of normal americanized rock music

I cant wait to move to japan and be a visual kei musician and be famous

Well, I don't want to make u wrong, but there are a lot of Japanese bands who have nothing to do with Visual Kei. For example, I listen to such a bands, and it turns that VK is just a minority of the Japanese music industry 8)

  7. another band who decayed... MUSIC was the last release I liked.

    This!

I was such a huge fan of this band, and thanks for them for introducing me into Jrock world. But really they went downhill way too much :( Music was their last good album to me as well. I've listened to Kowarete Iku Sekai one day, thet was Girugamesh! And *bad mistake* I tried to listen to all these out put on Go album. It made me to hit my head against the wall. Such a talent wasted.

ahhh Satoshi damn. so cute. and his smile .

*Facepalm* yes, this is why it's awful

  8. I really enjoy this band! I've listened their new album Cold Blood, and I'm gonna say that's preety good. Saide really keeps their awesomes up, and I hope that it will last for long :D

  9. Black Empire was kicking ass (especially the title song, really awesome).

My expectations are pretty high, but I have no doubt they'll be able to deliver another great album.

    Really looking forward to this!

Really, I'll have to buy this! I have most of their albums yet and Eizo never fails to amuse me! :rawk:

  10. Ok mine will be:

    The non-Japanese:

Limp Bizkit - my all time favourite band, thanks for them to introducing me into heaveir music, though their style isn't rock that much and I try to keep them on top at my last.fm

    profile

Nirvana - with them I started listening to rock

Korn - I often listen to them

AC/DC - I can't get enough of their "Highway to Hell" and "Back in Black' albums

    And the Japanese:

Dir en Grey - They're one of the best for me, I knew they changed for some phases but for me they've always presented sth good

Maximum the Hormone - they're just way too awesome, that I can't simply describe it :)

Sex Machineguns - same like MTH they're just kickass and thanks to them for introducing me into Japanese heavy metal

  11. Damn it :/ I wanted to see them. But no Spain or Poland.

If I'm not wrong they went to Barcelona last year. However I'm heading to Hamburg on 24 June. I ordered a ticket 5 days ago and just keep waiting for arrival. And yeah, I'm form Poland so I hope they'll come there or at least to Central Europe :)

I also like Drowning Pool and RATM. But yes I like these outside of America too, I'm acutually searching for some Japanese or generally Asian. :D
