My hands don't have enough fingers to count the number of bands that sound exactly the same like them.
  2. Wasn't there already a band called Gossip in the near past? I used to like a song by that band back in those days. The vocalist and I guess that's the vocalist looks very much like Ruki
  3. I think Kamijo should learn some english, enough so as to be able to communicate with his fans to a basic level during concerts and autograph signing sessions.
  4. Something like this too? I wish someone would teach this kind of scream very particular of Visual Kei on Youtube.

I like the lilt. The melody through the chorus reminded me of another song, but I cannot remember what song that is. --------------------------- Akikaze no Rhapsody by Raphael.
  6. Does Kamijo speak any english? I think an artist like him who has and is performing abroad should be able to speak some english so that he can communicate with his fans. Otherwise, when some japanese artists perform abroad they speak in japanese and people are like "hmmm... ... yeahhh..." >.< MIYAVI did a great job at learning english.

    Any samples out there?
  8. In those pictures Kamijo reminds me of Yukari (Baiser) and the excessive use of filters to make him look more feminine in the PVs to the point that sometimes it looked as oif he didn't have a nose. In this case the effect is used to make Kamijo look younger.

Is the band on hiatus? I see 197 followers on twitter now.

Well, I don't know how japanese artists do it in Japan. I guess since homosexuality is taboo there it is not common for them to show support for any minority groups publicly as western artists do. Perhaps, they are not intentionally being disrespectful, but it might sometimes be perceived that way. Not that someone cannot make fun of some things, the problem comes when it is about a minority that has little to no space to express their discontent or to demistify prejudices and stereotypes. Japanese people seem to be so politically correct that perhaps they don't complain about these things if someone feels bothered by them...

I didn't find a specific thread for the alterego so I will ask my question here. I came across Sendai Kamotsu in 2006. Kamisama mou sukoshi dake was the first song I listened to by this band and quite enjoyed the PV and other songs. However, lately I have been wondering about the band. Sendai Kamostu is all about "gay" themes, but they oversexualise homosexuality and it might sometimes be perceived as they are laughing at homosexuality/homosexuals. I don't know enough Japanese so I cannot go deep into their lyrics, but by watching the PVs I see this sort of oversexualisation and perhaps an unintentional excessive mockery of homosexuality My question is, are they being disrespectful? Have they ever been questioned for this? Have they ever expressed their true opinion on homosexuality? Do they support LGBT in Japan? All I know is that homosexuality is still a taboo in Japan...
  12. Looking forward to listening to the full version of Pokapokan and watching the PV, too.
  13. Maybe there are just too many bands around. Even though I tend to like the very "indies sound", maybe bands need to start making music when they are able to show some skills when it comes to playing instruments and vocals too. Some people might feel uninterested in bands that don't play that well or if a vocalist is constantly off-key... That fact that some bands sound exactly the same to other bands is also a problem. Maybe some bands rely on looks rather than music too much (the kawaii/kakkoii factor).

I want to listen to their single, although I would like to listen to the first version of it. It seems there are not many chances someone can get it though...

I visited his twitter account some time ago and I read some deep dark thoughts he used to post.
  16. I wonder if KAMIJO would be willing to make a new version of SOLITUDE (Lareine). I like the way the song sounded live in the last period of Lareine, but it seems they never released an improved version of the song. I wonder what it would sound like if KAMIJO made a new version of it...
  17. Perhaps having pieces of clothes that can be attached and dettached in order to make an outfit to look different would help reduce the ammount of money spent on clothing. I have the impression the company decided to upload the PV on Youtube to make some extra money through views. almost 10.000 views might not be much but extra money is always welcome.
  18. Just one little complaint. The idea for the PV seems poorly conceived. I mean, KAMIJO keeps dancing around a very small spot and does nothing else but dancing. The women behind him don't seem to be professional dancers either... Especially the blonde one seems a bit insecure. The PV is close to reaching 10.000 views on Youtube.

What is 眞呼 doing these days? Any band?
  20. Wow, I completely take back my prejudices against this song before it was released. Love the music and the melody in KAMIJO's singing. That blond guitarrist makes it sexy... By the way, Jupiter is totally out of my radar. KAMIJO's work is by far more interesting to me.
  21. I think I liked the music in that PV. It sounds old school. That lilt.

    Kagrra, was before Kiryu.
  23. Wow, so Sendai Kamotsu is now heterosexual.

From music to vocal --> Sounds so uninspired...
