The question I feel I will never get an answer for is that if in part Bou left the band because of the musical direction the band took when they turned major... I only like their stuff until 2005. Until then their music was genuine. Once they turned major they lost their charm to me and became another tasteless music producing machine.

Does anybody know if MaRiLL ever released any videos, lives, etc? I have never seen anything.

I'm pretty sure I've seen some live recording of them but apart from this vague memory (since I can't find it atm), as far as I know, nothing has ever been released on a physical medium. Well, back when they released "Invitation" each major shop sold it with a different DVD but it was just a comment. I guess that's the closest you can get to having a MaRiLL video

There is a video of Mahiro documenting his nose surgery in South Korea I think it was. I don't understand Japanese but a fan told his nose made him feel insecure. His nose was OK and perfect for his Asian features.

Never heard of them but curiosity made me find their music on YT and I can't help thinking probably Kyou (Deg) was influenced by this band. The singing style, the music; it's pretty much what Kyou and his earlier bands sounded like. Liking the band 😊

Is something happening with the Visual Kei scene in Japan? I've noticed quite a number of new bands posted on here recently whose sound is reminiscent of Visual Kei ranging from the late 90 to mid 2000's. It's mainly the sound but the aesthetics, the hairstyling also reminds of those days. It makes curious.

It all looks reminiscent of old school Visual Kei. Even the poster looks poorly photoshop-mounted like some bands in those days. 😊 The music also gives me a bit of the old vibe.

Vallquar has nice musicians but the vocalist hindered the potential of their music. It's like he was afraid to sing high notes when he had to. Was it because he can't reach high notes, lack of practice, insecurity?

I hope this is a serious proyect. I don't know how well they're doing but hope they can succeed in the scene. I also hope the broaden their spectrum of old school Visual Kei sound. There are many bands that are worth as inspiration: Lar~Mia, Veill, DERAIL, etc.

What a nice announcement. I loved them back in 2013 (time flies...) and I still listen to their music, but I wonder if this beloved style can make it today. The times seem tough even for current VK bands.

Visual Kei has nothing refreshing to offer anymore; at least to me. Sure, today's bands play instruments better than older bands and vocalists singer better too, but there's no essence and charisma in Visual Kei anymore. The times seem also to be over this kind of scene.

Hmm, perhaps I got the opportunity to experience Japanese music at the right time. Not only Visual Kei. I don't think it would have turned out the same way if the current state of Japanese music had been the rule in my time. Hard to imagine myself without it since it has had an impact in me to this day that today's whole Japanese music scene hasn't.
