Stop it. Both of you. Now. If you can't argue without making it personal, leave this thread, exchange MSN adresses and continue there.

    1. heidi. - ピンク スパイダー (hide) I don't think this was an overly good match. I liked some parts of it, but overall it was pretty bland. 2. ドレミ團 - 街 (SOPHIA) Never heard the original, so I can't compare. Not bad, liked the piano. Might check out the original song one day. 3. BugLuG - Melty Love (SHAZNA) Eh, autotune. Other than that it sounded like a hyper'ed version of the original without Izam. Mostly unnecessary. 4. NoGoD - 1/3の純情な感情 (SIAM SHADE) I agree that this sounded pretty much like a regular NoGod song, at least like the last few ones I heard. Nor bad, but forgetful. 5. D - 月下の夜想曲 (MALICE MIZER) I enjoyed this quite a bit. Especially the drums which are quiet different from the original. 6. 少女-ロリヰタ-23区 - STORM (LUNA SEA) This was not bad at all. Some nice ideas, the vocals were plesant enough and din't even make me miss Ryuichi that much. 7. 摩天楼オペラ - 紅 (X Japan) One of the better attempts. The engrish was funny. SOno got a bit annoying throuout the course of the song, but overall it was quiet enjoyable. 8. DaizyStripper -With-you The vocalist annoyed me. A lot. 9. 12012 - Winter, again (GLAY) Didn't like the original much, and this cover didn't make it better. 10. アンド - ロマンス (PENECILLIN) The guitar parts were nice. The rest... meh. 11. Mix Speaker’s, Inc. -S.O.Sロマンティック (CASCADE) Never heard the original, but just rating this song.... No. Just no. I somehow doubt I would have liked the original either though. 12. LOST ASH -ENDLESS LOVE (D-SHADE) I don't think I ever heard any Lost Ash before. This wasn't exactly good, but not unbearable either. I skipped before the end though. 13. Merry - Schweinの椅子 (Dir en grey) Never was overly fond of that song, so yeah... didn't do much for me as cover either. I liked the vocals though. 14. Duel Jewel - Jupiter (BUCK-TICK) I liked this, not too special as a cover, but pleasant enough. 15. DOG inTheパラレルワールドオーケストラ - 夢より素敵な (Raphael) As I said before, way to strip out all life of a great song. Awful. Begone. And I really want to kick the vocalist in the nuts. Well, it was an interesting listen. Sadly, most songs didn't really add to the original, or just outright butchered them. But still, a cool idea. The songs by D and 摩天楼オペラ were probably my faves.

I decided to listen to the one song I dreaded the most first, the Raphael cover. They stayed close the original so you can't do much wrong, but they somehow managed to make the song sound boring and, I dunno... plastic-y. If I never heard Raphael before, this cover certainly wouldn't make me want to check them out. I think the vocalist ruined it for me. Boring voice and a vocal range of like 4 notes. Not going to listen to it again, it will only destroy a great song for me. Will review the rest later.

I don't know if you have to arrive early... I know I never did, but then again I never aimed to be in the front row. Arriving 12 hours early seems to be rather extreme though. And you can surely expect head-banging and a certain amount of commotion in the front, just as with all metal or hard rock concerts. I suppose you could youtube a few live videos of those bands to have a look at what to expect. Personally, and this goes for all concerts, I usually prefer a place in the front 1/3, but a bit shifted to the left or right. You can see well enough and are still part of the experience, but not necesarrily in the most violent parts of the crowd and you can leave quickly if it gets too much. But that's just me. Either way, I'll think you be fine. If you are really worried about a good place arrive a bit early, but you don't have to stand there from early sunrise.

Split from the "Where is Kyotaro" thread. Please keep it on topic this time and no trolling. Thanks.
  7. Champ213

And signing up just for that, no less.... Anyway, since this thread a) seems to attract trolls in great numbers and seems to be sufficiently answered, I will lock it now and split the relevant information about the new band from it into a new thread.
  8. Champ213

Well, it's still down for some people (like me). I think it depends on where you live. I moved it to the Help section, though there isn't really much one can do, except wait until they fixed it.
  9. Champ213

Well, he is back, check the Shoutbox on the index page.

Yup, people who didn't vote really can't complain. XD Remember that due to the great variety of choices, the margins are extremly close, very often one vote only. Lc5 got 4 votes, the other newcomers 3 votes. Live with it, people.

Will I get smashed to the ground when I say VIII?
  14. Champ213

I think it's also a problem of perception. If 5 japanese high school boys buy some costumes and instruments, make a photo shooting and submit it to Visuanvi, they suddenly gain a certain amount of "fame" in the scene, even before they released one thing. But since they are high school boys they probably jumped the gun a bit. And after a year 2 of them suddenly realize that they rather want to get an actual job or whatever, and disband, while the other 3 move on to new bands. When 5 american high school boys form a band it's called a high school band, and nobody notices their existence or disbandment, except their friends.

I checked the moderator log. There is no record of anyone deleting a post in this thread. Are you sure you properly submitted it? Either way, since it wasn't deleted it's safe to say that you can just post it again.
  16. Champ213

I have a feeling the 2012 fad will not outlive the next year. Mmmkay. Lousy joke.
  17. Champ213

Kinda wierd to see them go, although I haven't listened to them in years. The stuff they released around 2003~2005 was pretty cool though.
  18. Champ213

That was one of their better songs. It kinda went downhill from there. =/
  19. Champ213

200 attendants seems.... rather high for a band that seems to have little merits. When Versailles played in my town I doubt their attendance was much higher and the club was well-filled.
  20. He didn't start it, Spike760 and Ito did. He hosted the site for roughly 2.5 years. Then he went AWOL, didn't fix the site when it crashed nor set up a redirect to the new board (an effort that would have taken 3 minutes) to help salvage the community and didn't respond to any of our messages for over half a year. And well, we offered him to work with us on this site, but as he said, he wants "his own forum and site" but after what happened we were not willing to give him this one. *shrug*
  21. This is now officially a Mitsu thread. He was much more entaining than Will anyway.
  22. Mitsu never got banned though. I think he just got lost in the most recent move, he still was around on the Zetabords TW, although mostly in the shoutbox. Maybe he's still lurking under a different name. He was harmless really. I kinda miss him. =/ (And Missa, our former Mod, is just busy with school, so she kinda only drops by every 6 months.)
  23. Champ213

I guess they are my 2nd favourite of the old 90s labels (after Key Party). My favourites are definetely Vasalla and MARRY+AN+BLOOD. La'Mule are cool too, but I always kinda got lost due to the size of their discography, lol.
  24. Champ213

Yay for double posts! There's a new Moonsorrow song on Youtube too. NtALnsA9EW4 Never really listened to them much, but this sounds pretty great. (inb4 "Moonsorrow aren't folk metal!" - oh wait, sumostig is no longer around.)
  25. Champ213

I have a feeling I won't need to, since it will be active enough on it's own. Anyway, I already posted my Kiwamu story in a different thread, here it is again for reference, though it's rather harmless: Also: For a moment I actually thought this story would end " If fans have the money to make them presents, they can also just send them money as presents." Why even bother to buy a CD? XD
