New TAMTAM is fiyah!!! I'm glad they got past that lil anisong-wannabe hiccup they had years ago, cuz THIS IS IT.
BTW, I love Kuro but her lack of dance ability/rhythm is both hilarious and painful to watch

oh, that's cool. Looks like Kobayashi Yusuke (THE NOVEMBERS) did an interview along with the Pale Waves chick. I guess I can see how both bands would have similar influences, but if only Pale Waves was at least HALF as dope as THE NOVEMBERS...

Pardon my spam, BUT I FUCKING LOVE THIS BAND'S SOUND!!!! ANYO been active since 2007 and they still ain't released a full length bro WTF!!! Let's crowdfund it! Do you hear 4ho's voice?!?!? DO YOU HEAR THAT DRUMMER THO!!?? THAT LAST SONG IS POWERFUL!!! (tho entire set is really, but still)
THAT ENDING!!!!!
So. Damn. Dope.
That second song is a new one...they haven't released that yet, but it sounds GOOD! I need more music from this band so I can go ahead and put em in a playlist with downy.

POLKADOT STINGRAY's google commercial is pretty cute. Interesting to see this considering that they're a relatively new indie band with barely any music on record. I wonder if this'll affect their career at all.

@Hakoniwa- I am idiot. Sorry about that. I completely overlooked the part where you said it was a cover song. XD I feel like I may have heard another cover of it before too, aha. I actually just heard that new POLKADOT EP (it's on jps). It was alright. I feel like they have all of the right tools, they just need some polish. Their vocalist is pretty great.
That Yubisaki nohaku band doesn't sound bad either. Thanks for a least giving it a shot. I wish more Japanese bands would make use of bandcamp - that would be wonderful.
-
Haha no problem! XD And I agree! Lots of korean indie bands are using bandcamp right now and it really helps. Japanese... not so much. They overlook the power of digital sales AND overseas fans. Really. :< You probably heard another cover, it's a pretty famous song! And I do think Yubisaki can do great things in the future... they are often described as a mix between tricot and Akai Kouen and I can see that. The video they put up before that one is pretty funny too. But yeah, at least she was really nice to me, it makes me feel like buying but I caaaannn't right now :'(

PSA: If you have issues or complaints that you want to take up with the forum, then let us (the staff) know. Bitching and complaining in private doesn't help anything, and closed mouths don't get fed.
However, if you're just upset because other ppl share opinions and perspectives that you don't like. Then you need to take a good look inside and ask yourself why you're so pressed about the opinions of random strangers on a damn J-rock forum. Alternatively, you can GROW THE FUCK UP. Some of yall are way too old for this nonsense.

So my status about TK reminded me of an interesting epiphany I had recently concerning male vocalists in J-rock:
Generally speaking, I've had way more trouble getting into (male) VK vocalists than I have (male) non-VK vocalists. However, I actually enjoy more VK vocalists than non-VK vocalists.
Let me explain
With pretty much all of my favorite non-VK bands (except maybe one or two ), the vocalists "fit" the band, but they don't really do anything for me outside the context of that band's sound (TK for instance). However, within VK, there are more vocalists that can move me by their vocals alone...for instance, I've gotten chills listening to the singing of ppl like Hizumi, Atsushi Sakurai, Morrie, old Satsuki, Sho, even Asagi...that's not even a lot, but that's still a lot more than the non-VK vocalists I can name that have elicited the same reaction from me.

The new LITE PV is pretty dope and I like the track too. I should probably get around to listening to their new album at some point...

The United States now leading the world in coronavirus deaths. This may very well be the first stroke in the inevitable humbling of the great whore they call the USA.
We shall see.
Yall be safe out there.
