      I thought the only music in Japan was Ayumi Hamasaki and visual kei?? Help I'm confused.

      Dir en grey were basically ayumi hamasaki roadies as high-schoolers. she fired them upon finding they were into drag-parties with her makeup, dresses and weaves used and abused as free props.

      they had no other choice aside from inventing visual kei from than.
