Sakito (though not a great singer) can barely even sing throughout the performance and Miyavi is just bawling his eyes out. that sing along gets me everytime. I still tear up when I see this.

God damn that DAI and 9GBO videos are beautiful!
I love Ruvie's good day, good night:
Temari giving every little bit of himself after 30 songs is simply beautiful
I couldn't find kannivalism's complete performance of "love" on youtube, but small world is a beauty too:
This performance of Rainy is a fuckin classic, but they have other renditions of Rainy equally beautiful too:
Non VK:
This one is particularly good to me because I'm part of its story. TDCC were nobodies back in the days. they were doing one of their first concerts out of Ireland, and there's a site known as 'queremos', which basically crowdfunds concerts when there's demand for a band, but no money. the crowdfunding was a success and they came to Rio. it was fucking WILD. Alex (the vocalist) reaction in this video is priceless, he said in a MC they had no idea we knew them, even less that they would have that kind of welcoming. they played their entire album, some unreleased songs, and even a strokes cover just for the sake of it, when they went down to mosh with the public, called everyone to go on stage and mosh jump.... it was the best fuckin concert I've ever attended to, in the end was a freaking party... few years later, in a interview to an UK magazine I believe, they said it was the best freaking concert of their lives. Unforgettable for us too!

chemicalpictures got a reaction from Vercingetorix in MeteoroiD will disband
The dudes were like drawing unexpected huge crowds, selling nicely until GEMINI. then they go all dark and edgy all of a sudden, and start to slowly fade away into the same oblivion of 32453987 other spooky-scary bands. the most "i told you so" disbandment of recent years

chemicalpictures reacted to kareta-uta in FoLLoW live-limited single "シアワセノカタチ(Shiawase no katachi)" release
Just a part and a quick translation of it but it expresses quite well what the song is about ._.
„Thinking of you, I’m singing a song. Maybe we can’t meet anymore, so I’d like you to listen to this story. Do you still remember about the time when we first met?”
“Even though it would be nice if time stopped now, being with you makes me seeing this world in a beautiful way.”

About MUCC's Kuchiki no Tou, didn't they say they're never playing that song live again? The studio version is already very emotional and this... this is just... ugh. ç_ç
I get why they'd choose not to play it again... and also, like you said: TATSUROU.
THIS. :'(
Do As Infinity - Fukai Mori
This live of Fukai Mori has a lot of meaning to the band and the fans in general. I remember how I felt the first time I watched this, even though I had absolutely no idea what she was talking about. There were a lot of theories around, but in reality she talks about how this song is important to her and to the band and how she felt the first time she listened to the demo tape. And now they're doing that live. That was not long after the band was formed and they felt overwhelmed by all that's been happening. That song was a huge success and it's an emotional song by itself. And then she starts crying and.... ç_ç
And... this.
MUCC - Akatsuki Yami
It helps that I love that song and that it's an emotional song by itself, but the way he sings it there is also overwheming... the lyrics to that song make it even stronger. But even if they lyrics aren't clear to the one who's listening, you can clearly feel he's pouring his emotions into it.

9gbo - 8byo
"under the soil /
we lived long time /
in this ending /
we will daybreak soon"
i think this is emotional for pretty obvious reasons. its not over the top with cheese and a half hour singalong, but a prim and genuine moment for the band and their fans. ryo singing off notes/falling out of beat makes it perfect. 8byo is the most bittersweet song i know, and a perfect ending for a perfect band :((

@chemicalpicturesOh so glad you liked them! I have both of their previous albums so if you have a hard time tracking them down (idk if the links here are still active) just let me know. Also I always appreciate you repping DOF in your recommendations. This song gives me some old school early 00s vibes but I can't put my finger on who exactly it reminds me of. Maybe Akihabara Shounendan Dennou Romeo???

sweet list, guys!
@benigod damn THANK YOU for bringing new Nakata music to my attention! I'm spinning this track like crazy, it is SO GOOD! Nice to see Nakata collaborating with male voices for a change! freaking great!
@doombox first time listening to abstracts, now I gotta dig through their stuff! great harsh vocals, on point guitar lines, scratching my djenty itch on the right spot! that oral cigarettes is SWEET too!
@hirokithat's some catchy tune by Blu-BiLLioN! I too feel Mike's vocals have evolved from his riotts days, he is much more "inside the range" he should be, if you get what I mean. He used to be a bit off when going high pitch, and now it just feels right!
TBS tracks makes me wanna catch back with their catalog, havent listened to them since the first few singles, and seems I'm missing some good stuff.... Mejibray, Sioux, siraph tracks are real solid aswell!

chemicalpictures got a reaction from emmny in Post your "UNPOPULAR" music opinions!
Lycaon = overhyped band that has more bad songs than good ones. I'll give you that when they hit it is GOOD, but no soooo better than several other bands that doesn't get half of the acknowledgement;
Can't understand the appeal behind Kiryu. Really tried to like it, but it is not for me, I guess. If I want classic japanese infused-VK, I'd spin some Kagrra,;
I think visuals impair a lot of bands from shining on. Yeah, the V part on VK gets more in the way than help it. I can't shake the feeling that bands like xTRiPx, Develop One's Faculties, yazzmad, DIV could go/have gone a long way if they drop/had dropped the act;

Yes 10s kids are the current young generation.
If you want who sold the best so far this year it's artists like Gesu no Kiwami Otome, Bump of Chicken, Radwimps, Ikimono Gakari... Sekai No Owari still sell really well the year before. And if you look in the last 2 or 3 years all the older bands I already mentioned are still having number 1 hits/albums so they are still trending right now because they're still super popular.
