Glad to see ClearVeil guys again.

I guess, Orcalade never comes back then.

Hiro was on twitter mentioning lives he'd been a part in the last few days, but I really don't know if he was talking about session bands or orcalade

It's really strange for a band to go into this absolute silence while the members are all around still tweeting, with the band on their profile and whatnot

In any case, glad for clearveil boys, would hope the vocalist fella I forgot the name would comeback aswell

  2. Indeed one thing that definitely grows unnerving with each listening is the completely absence of anything that resembles a bass. Don't know if it was a conscious choice, but I kinda blame Katsuya, it's the producer/engineer job to tell the band: "dudes, this is dumb"

  3. IMHO this is yet another the case of the "NOT HEAVY = HORRIBLE" tired trope, similar to what happened with DEZERT.

And yes, while I was also expecting more, there's also a lot of raw good ideas here, that could definitely have used a couple months more to flourish. After Rijin there was Kidoairaku, so I'l treat it as what it is: a conceptual release, an experiment to further polish the identity they are looking for.

highlights: What's Up?, Lament, MIST, Tick Tak, out of the darkness

  4. I think some people are missing the meaning of "conceptual" in the " MISC is a conceptual album" sentence.

I mean, of course it's different from CHE DO A RA, shouldn't it be?

And this notable confusion of directions, mixed bunch of ideas being throwed around would actually fit the concept of MISC., as in short of Miscellaneous, right?

I'm pretty excited for this, is shaping to be a pretty interesting experience

Why didn't I see this earlier. Moran still can't get into my radar (God knows I tried). Maybe I'll give them a chance soon! Thank you so much for this pieces of historianship!

have you tried the 'dark' mini? IMHO is peak experimental, melancholic Moran. Great stuff, really

Someone just make a DIMLIM "world tour" thread at this point. I dont understand why they are announcing countries one at a time

because they are most certainly negotiating all of it on the spot. It's pretty common for producers to make opportunity business when bands are already doing something "near", so it's very likely that when they announced their concert on Mexico, Brazilian producers saw the opportunity and negotiated a stop here, afterall it's way cheaper to bring someone from mexico than japan. Usually brazilian producers even share costs with argentinian ones for a two, three stop tours

Wouldn't surprise me if they add a couple dates and such

  7. hey man, whats up?!

I'd recommend Develop One's Faculties first and foremost, to me they are the most interesting act in the scene right now, BY FAR.

a small list of notables from that period: Chanty, APPLIQUE, DIMLIM, MORRIGAN, DEZERT, MORE, Soan Project, Kimi ha Surudoku., ACME, ZON...

I've followed Seika from (discovering) bis to Blu-Billion, so I'm really gutted that he can't perform anymore (reminds me a bit of how Yukimi left the scene.)  My interest in the band has tapered off over the years, but they've had some really iconic releases.

    ;_;

I feel you. Was so heartbroken after bis disbanded, but at least one member was keeping up and steady in a pretty great band. I'm sad that they are disbanding, but even more heartbroken that his sickness reached this point. I wish him all the best, hope the other members stick around

  9. As much as I love early 12012, Wataru was clearly the weak link. People can say what they want of major 12012, but the dude went through some MAJOR improvement there. In any case, SEVEN is my favorite release of theirs, but I'd argue that they went out with their most concise work ever. THE SWAN and XII are the sum of all their experiences, it's dark, it has  pop nuances, Wataru delivers, the composition is top notch... I would go far and say they are the best way to introduce someone nowadays.
