I saw this recently on twitter, in regards to the #WomenTakeaKnee and #TakeAKneeForWomen hashtags spawned in backlash to the Kavanuagh nomination.
 

 
I understand where he's coming from. I'm sure these women mean well, but their methods are certainly in want of tact and general consideration. For so-called blacks, our struggles have continually been co-opted, usurped, subverted, and perverted by groups outside of us throughout our history in this land. And in light of that, it does come off as opportunistic, and even disrespectful, of white liberal women to try and append their movement onto ours - especially when they've never had any 'skin in the game' concerning our plight. Now that's not to denigrate the #metoo movement at all - it's simply to make a distinction. These are two separate issues, and two separate movements.
 
With that said, however; I personally think that protesting is a waste of time - especially for the so-called Negro. We've continually supplicated to a nation that has practically shown no regard for us over nearly 400 years. Our time and energy would be better spent taking redemptive action for and towards our own, rather than endlessly trying to convince others of our humanity.

I have been a victim of "minor" sexual assaults. I have never told anybody about these incidents. I fully understand why women who were victims of far worse choose not to speak up. Looking at the results of that shit hearing, I fully understand why women will refuse to speak up in the future about any political appointee. It doesn't fucking matter to the Republicans/conservatives. "How dare you ruin this good man's reputation?" Fuck right off. Need I remind you that this is essentially a job interview, not a criminal trial? If a dude was applying to flip burgers at McDonald's, he'd be disqualified in a heartbeat. Somehow, a dude applying for Supreme Court Justice (or, hell, dude applying for President) is held to lower standards. i.e. NO STANDARDS EXCEPT HE'S GONNA TOE THE REPUBLICAN LINE. The very least you could do is delay the confirmation vote and allow the FBI to investigate. But no, we can't have that either.

  "獣ゆく細道 (kemono yuku hosomichi)" by Shiina Ringo and Miyamoto Hiroji - the queen is back with a return to her lush jazz sound that would be at home in a spy movie soundtrack or a Jacques Demy musical; would have been perfect on her Heisei Fuuzoku album from 2007 (check it out on Spotify)
  "DISCO (rerecording)" by 女王蜂 (Ziyoou Vachi a.k.a. QUEEN BEE) - a rerecording of their chaotic classic; a bit too clean, but for those who aren't loving their current direction, this is at least an attempt to bridge their two sounds (check it out on Spotify)

The band will release a new mini album via Itunes ! (5 songs). 0801弐209XX6 have disbanded three years ago.

There was an issue regarding encoding being in both UTF-8 and Shift-JIS, but I got it fixed by configuring nginx to respect the original character set of each html file. If you encounter a 404 not found page, it means the page doesn't exist to begin with because my backup is incomplete but most of the artist pages should be available.

IMO, this is not the first time it happened. IIRC, grassthread wasn't accessible several years before due to the owner not paying the server rent I supposed.
So I hope this time it's the same issue, and I will make sure to make a backup of the entire site again because the backup I made years ago still misses some certain pages. If not, at least I still have a backup of the incomplete site.

i'd much rather take the weird yoda stuff over smth like kiryu, who have basically been recycling the same 3 or 4 general styles their entire career, for example.. for people who claim to be into visual stuff a lot of y'all are still pretty quick to write off anything that deviates from the generic vk pretty boy norm

Chedoara is hands down my favorite release this year so far. I like Vanitas, Malformation, and Shigarami the most but I like all the songs. I wasn't really into Ambitiosus (Ambitious?) Principles upon first listen but it's a lot of fun live so I like it a lot now.

Sadly it was only about 40 minutes long despite being a oneman but it was free so I can't complain.

(Correct me if I'm wrong and they did release something...) I don't think there was really a live DVD from Kagerou's indie, pre-full album days.
 
Basically I wish they'd released a concert DVD from the show(s) they recorded the Wrist Cutter PV at.
 
Zekkyou Psycopath was good, but nothing touches Daisuke's sequined suits from the wrist cutter video.

I was so happy I was able to get my deputy service to order those Kamaitachi DVDs off of Kamaitachi's webstore since the DVDs are limited run release.  TT  I didn't want to spend how much some people were trying to sell them on Y!AJ.

Matenrou has had pretty major venue size decline over the last few years, so for me i don't think it's totally as random as the others -- an Operer friend or two has expressed worries to me to that effect. if Matenrou disbanded i feel like it would be because of label issues stemming from profitability rather than lost passion since clearly the remaining members want to go on despite major member losses.
 
lynch. and D are fine bar some kind of internal strife, lynch. sold Tokyo Dome City Hall for November and D are still playing huge venues like Toyosu Pit for their finals. i don't understand how Daizy operates at all so no comment there...

DaizyStripper, Matenrou Opera, and D are all doing fine, too. I don't think any of them will disband within the next year or two despite being around for a long time.
Are ya'll just pulling names out of a hat or something. Many of these predictions seem pretty baseless to me.
