Finished Farcry Blood Dragon on PC. Enjoyable game that's got 80's entertainment reference porn all over it. It's just that, Uplay... ugh.
Now moved on to Brothers - A Tale of 2 Sons. Interesting gameplay where you have to control the 2 brothers at once and clever use of getting around the puzzles. Nice visuals for its style.
Been continuing on Payday 2. If you can ignore the numerous amounts of small bugs or blunders, you'll love this co-op game overall.
Original Saku reacted to this -
Blah blah blah... too long to quote. So let me get this straight, if your family member or friend died right in front of you, would you still have a clear state of mind? o.O
I don't buy this whole informing his friends because as I said before, exposition, and that was just one example out of the many. There was even more exposition on the 2nd ep that made me roll my eyes around.
I'm gonna take back the robot statement and came to the conclusion that the main character is literally a retard. I don't mean that as slang sense, but mentally handicapped. It's clear he's oblivious to some of the most common sense situations, show no sense of care to his deceased friend, and stone faced entirely. If there was a good reason like a traumatic past that made him the way he behaves like that, then those important details should've been shown within the first two eps, even if its a second of it. Otherwise, the writing as completely failed to make me cheer for this protagonist. Sure some people like that exist in the real world but, real world =/= fictional storytelling.
That's my 2 cents based on first impressions. Take it or leave it, I don't care. I'm not gonna press this issue any further. I came across one forum post on MAL that pretty much sums up my overall thoughts so far.

Stuff I'm watching season....
Akame ga Kill!
It's been very faithful to its source. The violence was slightly toned down a bit but not to an irritating degree. Can't wait to see more.
Aldnoah.Zero
Pretty good start so far. I do have one major problem though, the main character. He's stoic like a robot, reacts completely unnatural to situations that requires emotions, and takes on this expositional stance where he tells the audience what's happening. "Missiles are coming", no shit son, we were shown that 10 seconds ago. Here's how to do a story, you SHOW us, NOT tell us. Don't insult the viewer's intelligence. If the plot twist of the main guy happens to be a robot, that would make sense. In all honesty though, I find Slaine to be the most interesting out of everyone introduced by far. His struggles are real and I would've preferred him as the main protagonist instead. He's like a better execuation of Kira Yamato from Gundam SEED. I swear if they ship that princess girl and the stoic guy, I'm gonna flip the table. Seeing this is only 12 eps, I am worried about it being rushed near the end.
Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun
Biggest surprise and best show I've seen of the season. I've skimmed through the manga a year back but was never committed. Watching this now has me hooked. It's a nice mix of shojo art style in shonen-like show. If you like Bakumen, give this a chance. Also, Chiyo is sooooo fucking adorable. *_*
Argevollen
Eh, typical mecha formula. The 2nd ep's pacing was so awful that I couldn't keep my eyes open. I'll still be watching this though.
Tokyo ESP
Interesting first ep. I know the manga begins as an origin story, so I'm guess the 2nd ep will take us back to the past Gungrave style? I hope I'm not the only guy who thinks this is Japan's take on Xmen.
Persona 4G
New Anime+ anyone?

The word "blue" has been abused a lot in Japanese entertainment in general.

Lynch without a doubt. They're more streamlined and catchier overall. I can't tolerate deathgaze's vocals, too nasal-y.

First Iron Man movie was awful? What kind of standards do you have for an origin superhero movie? o_O;

Transformers Age of Extinction
My gosh, the pacing was awful and tedious. A movie that forces me to look at the clock more than 3 times is a sign that these scenes need to get a move on. Way too much time was spent on the intro with the human protagonists which I care sooooo less for. Pacing issues aside, I thought the movie would be much better than Goof Labeouf ones by having a mature adult character who's actually useful. While Marky Mark certainly plays a more useful role, the stereotypes of an overprotective father is unavoidable as well as other annoying stereotypical side characters. The daughter was useless most of the time even though she's pretty damn hot. Her boyfriend didn't act like a boyfriend half the times, so something tells me it was either bad acting or just lusted for her. Some action scenes were nice, others were hilarious and nonsensical as it rehashes the same sequences from the previous films but ultimately, too long near the end. The random explosions happening one after another made me burst out on laughter. How does a transformer crashing into a truck cargo full of wooden blocks explode or when Optimus Prime breaks out of the barn exploding his way out when there's nothing explodable? Oh Michael Bay...
Another amusing moment was when Chicago gets attacked AGAIN. The attack in Chicago from the previous movie was like a 9/11 remembrance in this one. Getting into the plot, it was understandable why the government dislikes having transformers on earth but when CIA agents are trying to kill off other humans who's assisting autobots in order to "protect humanity", it became such an illogical mess that I stopped caring. So much time was focused on the humans that I wondered if I was really watching a Transformers movie or some generic action movie. After all this time, why did they make Bumblebee unable to talk again? The ending of the movie is a rinse and repeat of ALL the previous ones with its narrative, "My name is Optimus Prime, and we autobots blah blah blah." Overall, it's below average. Better than Transformers 2, slightly less enjoyable than 3.

One of my personal friends does one. Check out his channel if you can. He's been doing this for less than a year but the presentation is actually good, and that's coming from a cynical critic like me. XD

I'm not into Pewdiepie as well, and just as OriginalSaku said, I can't deal with his whiny commentaries but kudos to his achievements.
