  1. ^ Yes you don't have to express why you don't like something specifically, that's your choice, but if you don't back up your opinion and just say you don't like it because it's "bad" without explaining what is so bad about it, then it just sounds like you're hating on something for the sake of hating on it... Not saying that is the case, but you can't blame somebody for coming to that conclusion when you are so against discussing what you find "bad" about the show. After all this is technically an anime discussion mega topic.

Or you can just simply ignore the post. Not everything needs a response. Some haters just want attention, generally speaking. :|

  2. Finished up Dishonored and Darkness 2. I'll have to come back to Dishonored one of these days and pay attention to the details since I just breezed through it. Darkness 2 had a nice dual wielding weapons mechanic going on there and the addition with tentacles was interesting, but the overall game felt incomplete.

  3. John Wick

Saw this movie today and it was one of the most satisfying action flicks I've seen this year. Very simple story about a retired hitman getting revenge for his dog.

I'm definitely gonna see Interstellar tomorrow. Also quite excited for the upcoming movie, Exodus.

  4. How does changing the location change the story when it's about a police division cracking down hackers in a cyberpunk world? Practically any location could work as long as it's in an urban area. Yes, they'll have to name change the cast in order to appeal the mainstream audience but you know what, if the movie feels like a Ghost in the Shell then that's all it matters (to me at least). If you don't like the idea of Hollywood adapting this, that's fine. Just stick with the anime. Besides, it probably never was meant for anime fans anyways. Either way, it's rather unfair to immediately judge this when they're still on planning stages. We don't even know if Scarlet accepted the offer for the main role. Things could change during production. Other than that, I'm not expecting anything until a trailer drops.

  5. I don't know any of those so I can't comment on them.

    1. LUNA SEA · Metamorphosis
    2. Eiko Shimamiya · ATLANTE
    3. Kawada Mami · Saigo no Yakusoku
    4. TRIBAL CHAIR · Last Wish
    5. Pillar · Rewind
    6. GIRL NEXT DOOR · Jump
    7. GLAY · ANSWER
    8. Lucya · Follow The Rainbow
    9. Erik Ekholm · Last Stand 2K11
    10. 30 Seconds To Mars · Closer To The Edge

Wow, didn't expect Metamorphosis to show up right from the start. GG on that one.

  6. Holy crap, I got way too much on my plate this season.

    Here are my guaranteed watches:

    Yona of the Dawn

I've always liked shojo fantasy like this that feels very reminiscent to the 90s.

    Amagi Brilliant Park

    Mainly watching this for Fumoffu/Moffle.

I Can't Understand What My Husband Is Saying
This short is hilarious. An otaku husband and a bland wife. Too bad each ep is less than 5 min long.

    Gundam Build Fighters Try
This is a clear winner for me. I honestly thought a sequel for Build Fighters was unnecessary since it ended on such a good note, but this first ep managed to blow me away. Fumina Hoshino is a great heroine and it seems pretty clear that this will be her story. I like how Ral already points out Sekai is the 2nd coming of Reiji. My only concern is the voice actor for Ral since the original has been hospitalized so we'll be getting a new voice actor starting from ep5 or 6. It's gonna be interesting to see how this team dynamic will be played out as a contrast to the first show where it was solo/partnership competition.

    Gundam Reconguista in G
I saw the first three eps during my week stay in Japan as an early showing. It's old school in every sense of the word. It definitely reminds of Turn A Gundam and Overman King Gainer in its style and direction. Since G-Reco is directed & created by Tomino, the creator of the Gundam franchise (and possibly his last anime), it's a must watch for me. This show can be a hit or miss with some viewers in the way these eps were executed because Tomino intended this show for veteran fans. While this show does take place in the Universal Century timeline, it's so far off in the future (R.C. 1014) that you don't need any prior knowledge of the franchise to see this.

    Parasyte -the maxim-
Another show I highly anticipated. I've read the manga almost a decade ago which still remains in my top 10, so seeing the anime announcement was a big surprise to me. The order of things has moved around in the first ep but it still managed to be great none the less. It was a little weird hearing dubstep music as the BGM.

    Lord Marksman and Vanadis
Nothing in this show makes sense, but it's fantasy genre so I'll just shut off my brain and roll with it.

    Your Lie in April
Another show I really wanted to see upon reading the manga. Everything here is beautiful; the visuals, music, execution. I highly recommend this, even if you don't school settings, just watch it for its beautiful production. So far, the only thing that's a bit off putting is the exaggerated comical antics.

    Undecided:

    Cross Ange
    *cringes* Why Fukuda? Why?!

  7. Captain Harlock

Finally saw this CG movie. Very pretty to look at, would've been even better if I saw at the big screen. Plot wise, there were many head scratching moments but it was average overall.

    Justice League: War

This may be my 2nd favorite Justice League animated feature. I really liked the visuals here, especially on the costume design. It was very interesting to see the members meet for the first time.
