There's a sense of elitism amongst J rock fans, and so it's only natural that they call fans of other bands fucktards, fangirls, fanboys, etc. In fact the Dir en grey fanbase, because it is sooooooooo diverse, is a lot less crazy than most fanbases. If anything they're extremely moderate aside from a few bad apples lol

Sorry, but no. I have to disagree here. Dir en grey fans range from calm and sensible to batshit fucking insane. And there are a LOT of batshit fucking insane Dir en grey fans (it's just that most of them think they're normal and that everyone else is batshit insane). Hell, sometimes I can't stand other Dir en grey fans because they piss me off. Sure, when Dir en grey made the change around six Ugly/VULGAR we threw a bunch of the extra superficial KYO IS SO KAWAII DESU off the Diruwagon but if you think we haven't found enough idiots to replace them and more you're wrong.

Hatashijou, Love Song and FRAGILE about 500 I think, Enslavement Beauty was 300 for sure and I'm not sure about Plug into the Socket but that was a demotape so IDK how many people actually had the tools to do anything with it. Ranges from kinda rare to almost ridiculously so. As low as 131? Probably only Plug into the Socket. I still have hope though.

I was wondering what happened to cocklobin. Glad to see they've gotten everything back in order. Expecting a new release rather soon too - they've had a good long while to craft something while on hiatus.

We got Hatashijou and LOVE SONG almost immediately upon release, we got a demo tape rip of Plug > into the > Socket and we also got Enslavement Beauty. =D

The visual-kei band Versailles will act in a television show for the first time. “Onegai Kanaete Versailles” is a late-night mini-drama that will air in a 5-minute time slot on MBS and tvk, starting this month.

Versailles will provide the show’s theme song “Philia,” which they plan to release as a single on March 16.

How long is this "theme song" snippet going to be? 20~30 seconds? If it's any longer it's going to be worse than the animated version of Star Wars: The Clone Wars, where the preview for the next episode were just two completely random images flashed in front of your eyes for about four seconds. Also considering a good portion of Versailles' songs run longer than each drama segment, either Philia has to be relatively short or Kamijo sings a wicked short chorus.

Well sadly they're on hiatus as of now and there are only two more songs that aren't there: IN VAIN and RED FLAG. IN VAIN doesn't have many harsh vocals (if any, minus the shout at the beginning IIRC) but RED FLAG has a bit more. I'm hoping they come back though - they were surprisingly good.

Doesn't the guy of GREGORY use lots of distortion? It's been a while since I listened to them, but it sounded kind of weird as far as I remember

Like I said, I'm growl-deaf so I wouldn't be able to tell. To me, he sounds more genuine than someone like Mao or Genki, so that's why I said "average". He's no beast like the guy in the video will put up is, but he puts more into it than the average VK vocalist as far as my ears can tell. When I think of distorted growls I think of Byou from SCREW and judge it based on that and to me, Nobu doesn't sound like that.

the vocalist from DEATHGAZE is really no different from what I've heard (I rarely listen to them), and GREGORY I haven't really heard so I can't say. But I can only assume that they're no exception. I could be wrong though

You never commented on DEATHGAZE or GREGORY though. Ai and Otogi's growls aren't much better though. I think only Nobu might be decent out of all the vocalists on that list.

All DELUHI really needs is Leda. The others are expendable but Sujk is actually a decent drummer. The other two range from mediocre to terrible.

I'm putting my Monopoly money down on a member departure (and I think my senses are gravitating toward either Sujk himself or Aggy). It's a common theme for VK bands to go on hiatus and then suddenly announce the departure of a member or two. ZORO anyone?
