Lotus definitely needed some more progession, I'm not fond of OBSCURE's chugging guitars and I find Reiketsu Nariseba live to be better than the recording on Uroboros. It sounds better with all the energy in it.
I'd call this one average.
-
So we know Lotus isn't much longer and Obscure's 30 seconds shorter? Interesting.
-
I'm curious too, especially since it was so bad they couldn't cover it up with "musical differences".
-
Sujk I hate you so much :

Sounded like it was going into it near the end of the clip.

The sound quality of that video was so terrible I didn't finish. Not judging the song yet but it sounds OK. Just nothing special.
-
Hot damn that look is terrible. Hope it's not a reflection of the single to come.

well since the new word CULTURE was a session band I think this might actually be a real one! (or at least a step up from TNWC)

...is this a srs request?

I know lynch. did the whole blending vocals with guitars theme on SHADOWS. Made Hazuki almost inaudible on some tracks :\

^ Well no, not really. It's a lot more complicated than that, but this is definitely part of it.

Aion, he'll never be able to read this. You're going to have to contact him personally if you want that wish fulfilled.

You can't include 1998-2002 without 2003-2007. They're like ugly twins.

True, they've returned with a sound closer to Core the Child, but what made CtC so good were the fact that more members composed. They had a variety of composers and a variety of sound and I compare that to UnsraW where there is one main composer and Shou. Yuuki has a "way" of composing and now he sounds like he's trying to experiment with different types of sounds and has yet to hit that right balance. He may have the idea to go back to sounding more like CtC, but the best CtC songs were the ones he didn't compose.

They had a great release in Abel/Kein and SPIRAL CIRCLE-Complete-. What these new singles are, IDK. Kleza in Utero was the best out of all three, easily. That's not even saying much when you compare it to the last two singles. Everything since they've come back from their hiatus just hasn't been good. I don't know if it's because all our tastes have changed or if it's because this band isn't as good as it once was. Probably both, since they're no longer covering Core the Child.

I have a feeling EROS was a one-time thing. I read through both Satoshi and Rito's blogs and they referred to EROS as sexy, erotic and exhilarating before it was release. Although those aren't the verbs I would use to describe that song, I can't say we didn't get fair warning.
I haven't seen anything on their blogs like that yet so I figure these next releases will sound more like the B-sides.

Might as well. Everyone called me Zesshoku anyway. Guess that name stuck
-
I'm guessing both. They only wrote 14 songs.
-
I'm supposing track 5 is the live distributed one. Also surprised nothing off the first single was played.
-
Are they holding their first live in a hallway or something?
-
This SHOXX is dissapointing me even more.Agreed. First Lycaon, now UnsraW. I might not download it at all anymore.
-
I'm just glad it's not something more serious. Trying to stave off the first 2011 death as long as possible.

I thought Pledge was pretty boring if I'm completely honest. There's still some hope in me left for their album. They've released so many singles they might not put them all on the album and that would leave some room for better content. MAYBE. The GazettE could always surprise us.
