Angel-Taka of Uchusentai NOIZ he did some humanitarian aid for Philippines :

      - its first humanitarian action was during 2006 after he heard on the radio that children in the Philippines couldn't afford toothbrushes and coz of that they started getting cavities, and the cavities got so bad they'd have to pull their actual permanent teeth out.

He asked for donations and he collected them, he brought 12.000 toothbrushes to the Philippines

      - in 2013 after Yolanda typhoon, the December 10th he has organized a charity event  “Save the World Operation: For the All the Children #2,” with bands like Sex-Android, NoGod aside from tickets for special performance, special edition T-shirts, dubbed as “Chari-T,” were sold during the event.

He personally visited Tacloban to deliver the budget they had to purchase school supplies for the children that was struck by the typhoon Yolanda.

@ZeusWasn't that Ryo (ex-9goats Black Out/KEEL/Gullet/etc.)? I vaguely recall some scandal surrounding his supposed wife/gf posting pics of herself wearing stuff gifted to Ryo by fans or something like that... also, I vaguely remember some shit about him plagiarizing cover art back during the Gullet days and misappropriating funds raised for the tsunami and earthquake disaster back in 2011 or something like that???
  4. only realized today that theres a guruguru eigakan cover on metronome's latest album lol

Pieces: Hilariously insane movie wherein a mysterious killer wielding a chainsaw stalks co-eds at a college campus in order to make his own 3d jigsaw puzzle out of their bodyparts. Did I say this movie is insane? It feels like a damn fever dream at times cuz of how absurd it is; the unexpected run-in with the Bruce Lee clone at night, the BASTARD! BASTAAARD! yelling scene, the majority of the kills, that fucking gardener and his 1 (one) single goofy facial expression.... This is the good stuff.
  8. Because 'visual kei' and 'quality control' are mutually incompatible

OVERRATED: - Asagi (D) Back in the day he used to be quite overrated, at least. Nowadays it feels like basically no1curr about D at all anymore. - Tsuzuku (Mejibray) - Karma (ex Avelcain) - Yuuki (ex Lycaon, Initial'L) - Kamijo - Jin (ex Nega, The Black Swan) - Dada (Velvet Eden) Like.... ????? i never got what people saw here tbh, he's always sounded like shit to me - Satsuki (ex Rentrer en soi) Another case where I never got the hype - Keisuke (Deviloof) DUDE HARSH VOCALS LMAO UNDERRATED: - Shuuji 1 (ex cali gari) but only during his cali gari days, I haven't been v. impressed with his work after that - Loki (ex Sugar, More) - Mako (ex deadman) - Danchou (NoGod) - Demon Kogure (Seikima-II) - Gara (Merry) - Morrie (Dead End, Creature Creature) Dude doesn't get enough credit for his newfound meme vocals - Ao Sakurai (LAB. THE BASEMENT, cali gari) May not be technically amazing or anything, but I've always thought his voice is interesting - Jun Togawa - Susumu Hirasawa (P-Model etc) Generally underrated among the weeb crowd - Ya-su (ex GRASS, Ya-foo) comfy as fuck

Last movie I watched was the live-action Ace Attorney adaptation. For all intents and purposes, this is pretty much without any shred of a doubt the absolute BEST videogame-to-movie adaptation I've seen so far. It basically condenses most of the first game into one movie (with the exception of the 5th case), but the first and third case are both kind of swiftly glossed over, with the 3rd case especially getting shafted pretty hard. There's some pretty significant changes here and there (e.g. certain characters' appearances are pretty radically altered), but overall, if you're familiar with the games you won't be surprised by any random significant 'live action Death Note'-tier alterations to the plot or anything. Miike did a pretty damn fine job translating the game's zany atmosphere into film format, and I wouldn't mind seeing a sequel adapting either the second or final case of AA2 (altho 2-4 technically already briefly gets shown during the ED sequence for like... 20 seconds) or the main plot of AA3. I was disappointed to find no jokes about step ladders, though : ^ ( Overall, worth a watch, esp if you're into the games. Also, Miike really seems to love his 'group of tough guys walking towards the camera' shots, I feel like at least 70% of all movies i've seen by him had it in some variety...
  12. The lyrics are only partially in Japanese, but this is still basically just westernized shibuya kei . If I'm not wrong, the guy also composed the music for the indie game Lovely Planet (which basically looks the way this sounds imo)

imagine some shady-ass weirdo trying to look for a hitman online and accidentally stumbling upon a bunch of of MY DRAGON pvs

i fucking wish i had more free time, it feels like i have approximately 2 or 3 hours to chill out before i need to move on to the next big assignment (or in the current case, cramming for exams lol)
  15. Tokage

i cant believe there's been 10 editions already, i remember when this stuff just started off and how i thought it was literally the coolest shit still waiting for some rich dad in europe to do something similar lmao
  16. Tokage

we need to ban everyone from posting about the scene in public, we need to go deeper underground #radicalizevisualkei
  17. Tokage

Ayyy, this sounds nice (as expected lol) I didn't really expect this new jazz rock-ish angle, even though the previous album already had some traces of it here 'n' there...

luckily there's enough good western music being released this year to compensate lmao i think that xaa-xaa full length album is like just about the only vk-related release i've checked this year so far and it was also just a 6/10 or something... still holding out hopes for cali gari and sukekiyo to come thru with some good shit tho
  19. lol i'm like 99% sure that other √eight roasting is gonna be about that 1 track on the same album that's basically just Zilch's 'Psyche'
  20. Tokage

some???? people???? need???? a community????? to cope?????????? (also wtf i just realized i barely listened to like 10 new vk releases this year lol)
  21. its up to toshiya or kaoru to cum thru w/ another god tier solo project cuz so far kyo's the only one who seems to be managing (and that's mostly due to the strength of his backing band lmao)

    1. Zeus

      Zeus

i have to agree with @Carmelzors. don't forget kyo's weird poetry side project that also spawned music in the same musical dimension as sukekiyo. maybe the nature of the straw man called the average dir en grey fan has changed from what i thought it was, but i at least had enough faith in diru fans for them to be accepting of some weirdness. there's a lot of weird shit among the cruft of all their albums

  22. Tokage

live action anime adaptation ed theme-core
  23. What's the difference going to be between this and the old album? Remasters? Re-recordings? Re-arrangements?
