As far as Toku goes, DEFINITELY check out both Zeiram movies. The 3 Yokai Monsters flicks from the '60s are nice too from what I remember. 'Mechanical Violator Hakaider' and 'Mirai Ninja' are entertaining too.

Recently started watching Better Call Saul, and I gotta say I'm really digging it so far. I was wondering how it'd turn out, but I think I'm quite satisfied with the final product so far (only 4 episodes in tho, but still..) Loving the small nods and references to BrBa here and there, but I definitely feel that the show's strong enough to stand on its own as well..

Ah yeah, I also watched Totoro recently. I fell asleep like 5 times while watching it, so Ii guess perhaps it doesn't really count as 'watching', but oh well.

Yep, Matango is a cool one. But I'm a sucker for kaiju/tokusatsu stuff anyway, sort of. If I'm not mistaken, either Kinniku Shojo Tai or Ningen-Isu also wrote a song named after it.

The Babadook I feel bad having to say this, but I just constantly felt.. underwhelmed by this movie. I guess the fact that it constantly popped up on people's 'best of 2014' lists means it must have SOMETHING going for it, but I just don't see it. The fact that the 'monster' makes these really RIDICULOUS dinosaur sound effects near the end of the movie doesn't help either.. I mean, I've seen more than enough horror movies in my life, but it just did nothing for me. Surprisingly good child actor, though he did annoy me at times with his screeching and shit. The atmosphere/set design/cinematography were all on point as well, but the actual plot just didn't grab me, and the movie never actually scared me either. I mean, I get the whole psychological aspect, but some of the things STILL made no sense.

Is there any list of like all 'known' DEZERT releases out there? (not just talkin live dists here, but the whole package) As far as I know, there's the live dists listed above, that live dist. compilation album, 2 minis and a full-length album.
