I always wanted to learn how to play the drums but my dad didn't allow it back when I was a teenager lmfao. Figured I'd make too much noise lmfao. I still want to learn how to play an instrument though! I'm not particularly skilled at anything musical but I feel like I can't say I suck at it if I haven't even tried it lol.
  2. Or finally installed Diablo 3. Or maybe accidently strapped himself to a missile.

I know we've had a thread like this before, but it basically died out and with so many new community members I figured it'd be better to remake the thread than revive the old one (not to mention a lot of videos of that one have been removed due too switching boards and YT copyright). So here it is, feel free to share any PVs that you find atrocious, is it in production quality, having a lame "story", tackiness or just for being absolutely cheesy or over the top. PVs you just find uninteresting for not having a lot happening don't belong here though, make sure the PVs you post have at least some sort of humor factor. I'll start with a few of my favourites :'D On a thread about cheesy PVs one does not simply forget about Versailles, especially their indie PVs. From the awful CGI rose petals to hilarious vampire storylines and the ever so famous castle where at least 30 other PVs were filmed, Aristocrat's Symphony always earns a few giggles from me when it appears on plug.dj. Kings of cheese, basically. D should rename to "T" for tacky. The only thing that makes this even worse than Versailles is that they're taking themselves completely serious. Even when being a D stan a few years back, their PVs were really REALLY painful to look at most the time. Probably filmed with a handicam in any other regular living street. But don't forget about the open forest, where you can see cars passing in the distance. Absolutely amazing and a master piece of our time. Pls share your faves NOTE: Please try not to post more than 3 videos to avoid lag!

Artist: KAMIJO Album: Heart Score: The best Versailles album since Jubilee. I basically stopped caring for Versailles after the mediocre album that was Holy Grail. Their next few releases weren't too impressive either and thus I found it no surprise they called it quits about a year later. While the other four moved on, recruited Zin and started Jupiter, Kamijo announced that he would be starting a solo project. My only thought at this time was "this solo project is going to be a fucking disaster". How wrong I was. I truly, really missed the musical efforts of "Japanese man pretending to be 16th century vampire from France singing in English". Actually, I'm daring to be as bold as to say that this is VK's best release so far this year. Now before I go into the actual album review let's make clear what this album has that Jupiter sincerely lacks. It's character and charisma. Despite how ridiculous everything is, from the costumes to the incredibly bad PV intros, Kamijo knows how over the top it is but the best part of this is that it still brilliantly works. This was Versailles' charm before they started taking themselves seriously and I'm glad Kamijo never lost this touch for drama, it's what makes him stand out. Kamijo was always my favourite Versailles member, mostly because all of my favourite Versailles songs were penned by him. Not to mention he wrote Versailles' best effort to date (God Palace -Method of Inheritance-). It's very clear Kamijo is a good songwriter, yet I was slightly worried how he would work out this solo without working together with say, Hizaki and Teru. Heart shows Kamijo does fine enough on his own. Despite the fact that Kamijo chose to keep dabbling in power and symphonic metal, the songwriting on this album is far from stale. There are different influences in play here, both new ones and ones that can be recognized from his Lareine days. The synth use isn't always perfect, but it's done tastefully and moderately. Despite that it's clearly audible it isn't Versailles backing him up (though the lead guitar recordings were actually done by Hizaki!), their influence is still there. Death Parade is a song I can imagine that Teru could write. The album switches up quite often, but never gets stale or boring. Despite it being a song not really fitting the rest of the album, Moulin Rouge is brilliantly placed after two more mellow songs and is the start of the album picking up pace again. Transitions are smooth despite all the different influences. There are a few filler tracks on the album that I had difficulty getting into, but in general almost each track offered something different, something that Versailles desperately lacked at the end. I wish some of the songs would've been more similar to stuff he did with SYMPHONY OF THE VAMPIRE, but it's quite possible that mini was so different because it consisted of stuff he had meant to write for Versailles. For how shit he sounded at the end of Versailles, he really seems to have found a way to work his deep voice the best at this point. Tracks like Heart showcase a huge improval from Versailles' last releases, he hits the right notes at just the right time and it's just a huge pleasure to listen to. At this moment I don't really know what else I could name. I mean of course I'm going to make you want to try this album when I say even Zeus enjoyed it. We have officially boarded the Kamijo hype train. Never change Kamijo, never change. Stay classy. Final score: and two big middle fingers towards jupiter, probably. good luck beating this hizaki, you're going to need it.
  5. say what you want about jupiter but they'll never reach the level of camp that was versailles' ascendead master movie

  6. and we didn't even mention television

Yessss agreeing with Saku, Dragon Age: Origins is a fantastic RPG, especially on PC. I also played Bioshock Infinite without playing the other two and I understood everything just fine! What I'm currently playing: - Bioshock Infinite - Beyond: Two Souls - Dragon Age: Origins (second playthrough!) I dropped Lightning Returns, it became really linear after like 6-7 hours in tbqh.

I'M FUCKING CRYING FFXV IS ONLY DONE FOR ABOUT 50-60% AND THEY SAID "IT'S STILL GOING TO TAKE A WHILE". 8 YEARS AND THEY'RE ONLY HALFWAY (though it only hit actual development in 2011 bUT STILL) At least they're being honest instead of Square's usual "please look forward to it" and "we can't release any info on the release date yet". At least judging from this we can basically deduce that this game isn't coming out until at least late 2016. What I can understand from this is that they basically worked on this for PS3 up until 2 years ago and only then decided to make it next-gen, meaning the PS4 title has only been in development for 2 years. I do find it odd they're already releasing a demo of a game that's only halfway done so soon though. It'd be odd to release the demo, then release the actual game two years later. UPDATE Basically already deduced that, but it's a good thing to hear.

To me, DogManX was merely stating what the word meant and referring how it linked to your earlier discussion of "progress is just a matter of opinion", don't take anything as an attack against your persona. I'd also advice you to read a person's post again if you don't understand it at first, and if you still don't understand what they're trying to say afterwards, don't reply to it. This will only lead to misunderstandings and misunderstandings are the main cause of a lot of foul discussions and unnecessary insults. If you do not understand someone at first (or if you have trouble understanding English), do not immediately think they're trying to offend you and start calling them names. This is highly unprofessional, immature and I doubt many would feel encouraged to have a good discussion with you in the future. As was stated in the first post of this thread: "Also, feel free to discuss the opions that others post!" If you're going to have to be offensive to everyone who doesn't agree with you I'd suggest you'd further not participate in this thread.

I read that XV is taking too much of Nomura's time which means he can't put his full attention on Kingdom Hearts III, where he is apparently more needed according to Square. That I understand, KH is Nomura's baby. Perhaps they have a schedule for KH3 to have it out before a certain year, while with XV it's like "we've been working on this for 8 years already, if we have to make people wait 2 more it's not going to be that dramatic". Though note that FFXV only REALLY hit development in 2011. The game was first announced 5 years before it actually went into development, think about that. That was Square's first mistake. Had they first announced it say, the second year of development, most of this wank wouldn't be happening.

Also: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fnDxg2afpCE New Final Fantasy XV trailer. No release date yet, though Type-0 HD will come with a code that will let you play the FFXV demo. Type-0 HD is set for March 2015 in Japan. Also, Tetsuya Nomura is leaving the Final Fantasy XV team as lead director. He's doing this so he can work on other important titles such as Kingdom Hearts III. 12. Actually they announced the movie would follow the manga...
  13. I'm mostly pissed off because of the white-washing of Motoko Kusanagi before the thing even went into production. It annoys me because GITS takes place in future Japan and the fact probably the entire main cast is going to be played by white people and take place in America is a huge insult to the entire franchise because it takes away a big part of what it is. NOT EVERYTHING NEEDS TO TAKE PLACE IN AMERICA. I agree with Zess that this is probably going to be a huge action-packed rip off of Die Hard without any of the cyberpunk feeling to it.
  14. lmfao if filing lawsuits for songs "sounding similar" is going to become acceptable I'm pretty sure X Japan's Yoshiki doesn't need to shit out 3 collection albums each year to get his cash any longer. on another note robin thicke is basically a huge asshole and has no real talent so I wouldn't be too upset if this is the end of his career LOL.
  15. So apparently it's really happening this time, Ghost in the Shell is getting a US live-action movie. DreamWorks is still the one developing it and Rupert Sanders (Snow White and the Huntsman) is going to be the lead director (urgh). It's also pretty certain actress Margot Robbie is going to take the role of Major Motoko Kusanagi. Source: http://collider.com/ghost-in-the-shell-margot-robbie/ Idk how to feel about these choices. Snow White and the Huntsman was terrible and I was hoping they'd cast an older actress (in their 30s) for the role instead of a 24-year old. Literally America has never done adaption of an anime right so I'm fearful for this is going to turn out. I'm also curious what they're going to do if they decide to cast white people for all the main roles. Do they keep the original names, or will they localize them? It'd be kind of odd to have so many white people with Japanese names running around, lmao.
  16. So Attack on Titan's spinoff manga "A choice with no regrets" (focused on Levi during his early days in the Scouting Legion) is getting an anime. It's not being aired on TV though, the DVDs will come with volume 15 and 16 of the main manga, which will be released on December 9, 2014 and April 9, 2015. Source: http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2014-08-05/attack-on-titan-no-regrets-spinoff-gets-anime-dvds/.77306 I'm not THAT excited. I find Levi to be severely overhyped so I'm surprised he even got his own spinoff manga. I'll probably watch it if possible because Erwin but for the rest I'll see where it goes. inb4 the “snk is entry level, watch some REAL anime u plebe” crowd

    Black Flag lacked what I expected from an AC game, both gameplay-wise as story-wise. While AC3 had the same problem when it came to gameplay (not much opportunities to explore as in AC2, ACB and ACR), I preferred AC3 for having a story I could enjoy more. Connor is actually my favourite assassin next to Ezio, because despite the world he lives in and the cruel fate he's been dealt with, he never ever stops showing kindness and in my opinion that's what makes Connor so brave and such an interesting character. Tis' unfortunate he came after Ezio (which left many Ezio fanboys in true rage because Ezio as a character was way more extroverted and charasmatic than the silent Connor. Basically I understand preferences but I'm sick of people hating Connor because "HE'S NOT EZIO BOO"). I didn't find Edward very likeable for some reason. He lacked character, in my opinion. I don't have a next-gen console yet so I can't get Unity (though I probably wouldn't on the day of release if I did, Black Flag killed my entire interest in the series LOL). WHAT I'M ACTUALLY REALLY HYPED ABOUT THOUGH: I love how far they've come since Origins. I'm so glad Leliana, Alistair, Sten and Morrigan are returning, I missed them so much ;w;

Look at all these new games and consoles I can't afford. I'm not that excited for a lot of titles at the moment because I can't afford a next-gen console at the moment (and I'll probably just wait for a price drop and a new PS4 model). I pre-ordered Dragon Age: Inquisition for $5 (thank you, countless episodes of extreme couponing) and I'm probably getting Kingdom Hearts 2.5HD Re:Mix for Christmas as a gift. I'll only be able to buy the new Pokemon a few months later probably. That's basically all I'm excited about. I disliked Black Flag so much that I'm not even considering getting AC Rogue XD
  19. sai

I'm not buying it until it's available somewhere used for like $20 or something XD It feels like any other third-person shooter (EXCEPT WE'RE IN SPAAAACE) and I'm really picky about those. Plus I'm not a big online gamer, I don't like playing competetively. They're predicting $700-800 million in sales just this week though. I didn't know this game was so hyped.

Dragon Age: Origins All I need to say: /holy shit morrigan is so cool
  21. I hope it does have enough new tracks though, since their last album they released 2 mini-albums and 6 singles (not counting about 3-4 live-limited ones). So yeah, hope it isn't like a 10-track album with about 2 new songs.

I remember hearing once that his popularity dropped after he left PSC (though this was from a PSC-stan so I'd take it with a grain of salt) but I'm not sure if that's also visible in CD/ticket-sales. We need nekkichi to provide us with the CD sales numbers, because I have no idea where she gets them.
