I'm really digging the remix job on the EXODUS tracks, and the re-recordings are fucking amazing (葉月's voice sounds really great on them all), except for Adore (I prefer the single version). I would have liked some remix jobs on the INFERIORITY COMPLEX era songs, and that they used the single versions of JUDGEMENT and A GLEAM IN EYE (and maybe ALL THIS I'LL GIVE YOU) instead of the single versions. Complaints aside, I am very much looking forward to hearing this in full!

Stuck between options four and five, but ultimately, I'd prefer to hear Japanese people singing in Japanese, unless they're actually good at speaking English. There are times when you can't really tell that it's Engrish and not English (you can easily hear RUKI singing "all I want is your face" when he's actually singing "oh, I want to the your face"), and I'm just so used to hearing stuff like "JISSS IZZU" that I shrug it off. I'm very used to hearing Engrish that it doesn't always ruin the song for me, but I do think Japanese singers' voices sound better when they're singing in Japanese, for example, RUKI. I love his voice...... when he's singing Japanese; when he's trying to sing in English (increasingly as the years go by), it just sounds... a little weird to me. It's also why I've been avoiding Japanese metalcore. Most of it is in Engrish. There seems to be an extremely low level of Japanese core and metal with Japanese vocals. What is this?!

... yeah, last.fm is the main reason that I [try to] tag things as accurately as possible. I kinda miss being able to use these ･･･ ellipses for Japanese titles (灰降る丘･･･ vs. 灰降る丘…), and using “” instead of "" - and I also miss romanising katakana English titles (e.g: パノラマ → Panorama). Oh, and the half-width hook quotes ｢　｣! And of course, I will consider removing a band from my iTunes library if I have to tag the artist field with annoying full-width U N I C O D E for last.fm reasons. Of course, even before last.fm, I still spent a lot of time tagging/organising my music library, just for my own sake.

I have a considerable grasp for kanji, as I've spent several years picking a few things up here and there, and I've also made the effort to learn and memorise both kana systems (hiragana/katakana). As somebody who wants to learn Japanese, I absolutely despise romaji and tend to discourage people from using it. So here's what I do (in iTunes): kanji for the song titles (別レ日和ハ仄カニ染マル), use the sorting fields to put in romanisations (e.g: Sort name: Wakare Biyori Wa Honoka Ni Somaru; Sort artist: Kiryu; Sort album: 2011-03-02 Mugen Houyou), just so the songs/bands can be better ordered alphabetically, and albums sorted by date. And if there is a track title with kanji that I don't understand, I put the title in hiragana/katakana in the lyrics section (e.g: ワカれビヨリはホノかにソまる). That's what works for me! I used to try and do english translations in the title, but now that's something that I just sort of keep in my head, or I'll also put it in the lyrics section as well.

Whole album twice while doing some photoshop work on the album's booklet scans. And then repeating ILLUSION, marionette, and 君を壊すガラスの衝動 a few times after.
