Actually, a lot of people think NB is a third gender. Many people say it's equivalent to Intersex. That's what I have heard.
 
Obviously, Trans isn't a gender and they get surgery and stuff and identify as whatever they want. 

 

Chiming in for a few minutes. This had to be said.
 
One one hand, I honestly think that anyone can identify as whatever. Non binary and genderfluid people and Trans folk are all valid. 
 
On the other hand, the kid in the video is kind of a dick. Regardless of your opinion on the gender debate, I think that you should still respect people’s identities. Personally, I do think there are 3 genders. Male, Female and Non Binary with Genderfluid and Agender being under the NB category. However, the whole Tumblr gender shit like “Demongender” is bullshit and makes fun of actual trans people. The kid sounded like he was ignoring the existence of trans people, which is kind of a dick move. I would much rather have him be more respectful with his opinions rather than invalidate those kinds of people.

I don't think I've ever naturally met another VK fan outside of maybe at an anime convention or something. I know people who know of Dir en grey, but not so much in the context of visual kei, rather just as a "crazy metal band."

I used to get called a weeb too. Eventually, I found a friend group that was basically a bunch of fellow weebs, and even though they weren't into Visual Kei, they were open enough to it. 
Don't worry about bullies or anything like that. Anyone who calls you insults for liking what you like, just has poor taste lol. 

Back in highschool, I knew only one guy who knew about Vkei, and even though he wasn't a huge fan, he knew about Deathgaze because his cousin in Detroit knew about them. He also knew about the Piass and how cursed they were.
