Not really that VK, but I'm surprised no-one's mentioned YELLOW FRIED CHICKENz. It has Gackt in it, for God's sake. Of course it would have a stupid name.

Oddly, the fact that the guy previously went by 'Richard' is some how one of the weirdest things in this thread 

For anyone who understands Japanese, Itsuki (ex. vocalist of Bergerac) has made a series of vids regarding VK costs.

Dog inthe Parallel World Orchestra/ PWO - just what?
Blu-Billion - horrible to day
 
 

Obscure would be a good example of this. They're the band Lay and 4ge formed after Fatima disbanded with singer/guitarist Nobara, and the only way I could find any trace of their music was by Googling "obscure nobara". To top it all off, Lay and 4ge changed their stage names to Cake and Zizimakia respectively.

I found those all on a list a while back, as well as some others that have already been mentioned.
These guys are also on that list I found. They disbanded a while back, but they honestly weren't that bad. Not the best, but they had some pretty good songs. I would recommend Daphnis, Grisaille and Cock. Yes, Cock.
 
Also, who could forget Bump Of Chicken? They were originally gonna be called Cowards Strike Back, but it got mistranslated as Bump Of Chicken. I mean... I guess I get it? A coward can be described as chicken, and if you strike something, you may bump it...

i think you can't beat a punchy one-word name that doesn't have some ridiculous reading.

Any band name with unnecessary punctuation marks in it. 

For me it's Schwartz:Mist
idk if the second word is supposed to be english but if it's german like the first one tries to be, that translates to black shit.

cocklobin, man! It might be cute to say it while in Japan. Even publicly. But not so much when you're in English speaking country. For the sheer misunderstamding it might cause. "Hey, what are you listening to?", "cocklobin, man!", "heyyy! there's minor here!"  😂😂😂

Any band name that makes it deliberately hard to search for them.

oh lord. there's a bunch of bands with terrible names, especially new ones. i'm gonna challenge myself and list 20+ from the top of my head (they're not ranked btw)

Just remembered Fest Vainqueur. Again, stupid name and vk doesn't get anymore lame than this band. 

^Well, this is the only video of theirs I've ever watched all the way through, so I don't know if it holds true for their other stuff, but there's just something off about his face and how it looks next to the rest of his body. It's like the excitement just suddenly cuts off before reaching his eyes in some of the shots...

EARLY Mejibray was good. Also the gazette is boring, like super boring.

They pretty much did disband.

+1 on Mejibray tbh, they were terrible and so is their fandumb. I also can't stand Pentagon, 0.1 no Gosan, LA bate (REAL garbage tbh), The Raid, BP Records bands, and other pop bands. Also, I'd like to give Dir en grey a chance, but I can't help but get annoyed whenever I see anything about them, especially their even dumber fans.
