I'm so happy! I love DIAURA and I honestly feel like I was fated to find them at some point or another because Gumin day (which also happens to be the day this thread was started) is my birthday, lol. Anyways, super excited~!

I can't read Japanese very well so I won't be able to post/translate anything about them if I find it, but I appreciate the dedication from you, chipathy

Not really that VK, but I'm surprised no-one's mentioned YELLOW FRIED CHICKENz. It has Gackt in it, for God's sake. Of course it would have a stupid name.
  4. AAAAAAAAA okay, how do I delete a forum post? My Internet just fucked up and I accidentally triple-posted >.<

I'd like to predict that Moran should just come back already, but somehow, I think this sounds more realistic. Then again, it looks like DELUHI might come back, so who knows? Either way, if art-kei gets resurrected by anyone who was in Moran, I'll be happy.
  6. Seeing all the visual novel reviews on Steam saying shit like "omg there's liek no gameplay REEEEE" is one of the dumbest things I have ever seen. It's like reading a light-hearted romance novel and complaining about the lack of violent deaths. There's a visual novel tag for a reason. -_-

I hate that, I guess they all forgot that a lot of the first games WERE just text, choices and imagination.

  7. Happy 47th birthday, Dad. I miss you. 💕

That is a terrible band name. I love it. Which reminds me, LiN from UNiTE used to be in a band called LeMpicka? (including that question mark). It doesn't sound all that stupid when you say it out loud, but I just don't understand this trend of weird capitalisation/punctuation. Then again, this is LiN from UNiTE we're talking about. They're a great band and all, but their song titles are just word salad and LiN is... weird. But he's a funny weird. I like him. But anyways. You know how Zero from Lycaon/Initial'L used to be known as Rito? Well, before that, he was in a band (the name of which slips my mind) in which his name was Richard. IIRC, the other band members had stupid names as well.

I'm in love. Also, looks like one of my 2019 predictions is starting to come true already! I predicted that a band would form that tried to mix oshare kei/brutal kei; not only that, but they'd be good. With the growls, I can sort of imagine them going in a sliiiightly brutal kei direction; not enough to overpower the oshare elements... but who knows? Anyways, I stan. I knew I would the moment I laid eyes on the style icon that is Ohana.

I mentioned them. Never listened to them, but with a name like that, I doubt they're anything special. Then again, who knows?

Obscure would be a good example of this. They're the band Lay and 4ge formed after Fatima disbanded with singer/guitarist Nobara, and the only way I could find any trace of their music was by Googling "obscure nobara". To top it all off, Lay and 4ge changed their stage names to Cake and Zizimakia respectively. Other shitty band names: * BUNNEIES * 0801弐209336 * Crazy★Shampoo * Un=(XAG) I found those all on a list a while back, as well as some others that have already been mentioned. These guys are also on that list I found. They disbanded a while back, but they honestly weren't that bad. Not the best, but they had some pretty good songs. I would recommend Daphnis, Grisaille and Cock. Yes, Cock. Also, who could forget Bump Of Chicken? They were originally gonna be called Cowards Strike Back, but it got mistranslated as Bump Of Chicken. I mean... I guess I get it? A coward can be described as chicken, and if you strike something, you may bump it... ETA: Also, do you guys remember Dirty Darkling

God, I hope so. I'm still not over how I missed seeing him in London this year because I fell out with the person I was gonna go with.
  13. I keep having these really weird, vivid dreams about DIAURA. Last night was the third one so far.

  14. ACME are starting to rival DIV. They're not quite there yet, but it's only a matter of time. I hope they come to England in the future. Also, I love the dog in this video. Reminds me of the DIV song Pieces, which seems like a really sweet (yet basic) love ballad at first, but then in the last verse, it's revealed that he's singing about his dog. That made me squee a little when I first heard it.

I second this. I predict that: * DELUHI will finally return after almost eight years, only to disband again two months later * Sugar Or Dry will disband, quickly followed by MiA's reputation getting even worse due to some other carcinogenic shit-kei project * DIAURA will keep on slaying it * ACME will keep on slaying it * Munou Na Lucid will get HOOGE * A band will form that tries to mix oshare kei and brutal kei; not only that, but it's actually not that bad

I like how they have this nice, cute and happy style without going too over-the-top with it. They sort of remind me of ACME with a different aesthetic.
  17. Gesu

Not bad! They have potential. It'll be interesting to hear what they release in the future. Let's just hope they don't get into those trends of either losing one or two members really quickly after formation or just flat-out disbanding after one live.
  18. Soooo according to my laptop's Internet connection settings, one of my neighbours has named their hotspot "Seshlehem". Hoo, boy.

  19. Gesu

Wish I could go see them! I just hope they come back for real. It's probably just wishful thinking - I mean, it has been seven and a half years - but who knows. Besides, a girl can dream, eh?
  20. Gesu

SuG, they were shit. I was glad when they disbanded. They just sounded like a crappy Blink-182 knock-off. That, and on the rare occasion that they released a good song (and I use the word "good" lightly), Takeru just had to go and ruin it with his god-awful rapping. I'm happy this thread exists. I was considering making a thread like this, but then I thought "nah" and I dunno why.
  21. This is something I've been wanting people's opinions on for some time now. Personally, I don't think it necessarily is (my take is that it's thicker than clean water), but I've had people tell me that "there's no way you could ever really stop caring for your family". What do you guys think?
  22. I don't have it anymore, if that means anything. I think that the experience of having had it all those times and knowing how to get rid of it would give me knowledge in the field. Hopefully, anyways. Thank you for the advice, though. I know it's not a career choice to be taken lightly, but I am absolutely certain that this is what I want to do. I know someone who was a therapist for a while, and he said that the majority of therapists end up with therapists of their own, and I think that's something I'm prepared to deal with. However low I may feel in that job, I know it's something I can deal with and recover from because I know it won't be anywhere near as bad as my mental health used to be. I won't overdo it, but I don't think it'll be enough to stop me from wanting to become a therapist. If it gets too much, I'll be honest with myself and quit, but I'd feel unfulfilled if I didn't go for it.
  23. I think I scared someone away today just by sitting near him. Is this what it means to be visual kei

  24. They sound like run-of-the-mill Tanuki rumours. Maybe their disbandment was planned from the start and this whole project was just a ploy to take the piss out of Tanuki? Sounds like something I'd do, tbh.
