Pretsy got a reaction from Tokage in New MUCC album 脈拍 (Myakuhaku) release
"Long" Mucc albums ever since Gokusai had always about 10 new songs (incl. intros) in average so this should not be that surprising tbqh.
Scared about songs with titles like "BILLY×2 -Entwines ROCK STARS-" though...how will that turn out, geez I wonder

Frankly speaking there has been always a huge ( HUUUUUUUUUGE) batch of vk acts going for rather sloppy, plastered synthcraft per each era visual scene had during its existence. Even now I could barely name significant neo-vk chaps whose synth work I actually *feel* - take say, Blu-Billion? Their synth game MAKES SENSE to me, idk.

Now that I came back to frozen wastes of Moominland from glorious Japan (and Asia in overall so not just this country), I am not sure whether this lag makes me really tired or otherwise really energetic atm...but I do miss a lot of stuff after having been to like maybe 10+ towns/cities in such a short time span @_@
I will defo cherish this adventure...but my life goes on with new perspectives!

This incident was just absolutely revolting. I've been seeing/hearing the whole "black ppl can't be racist" rhetoric around for years now (both on and offline) and as much as I understand and empathize with the pain and strife of living as a black person, I think this is an INCREDIBLY heinous notion that would be better off eradicated from the collective conscious. It's an idea that's yet to do any good for black people, or society as a whole - just like our vehement grip on "the N word" - where we've employed equally ridiculous double standards (but I guess that's another can of worms). I think this event serves as very unfortunate evidence that blacks can, indeed, be racist and hateful.
I have no idea where this country is headed, but I can only hope that people wake up, start thinking for themselves, and stop subscribing to all of these extraordinarily divisive ideologies. I understand perfectly well how easy it is to get sucked up into the emotional aspects of everything, but I think it's important that we all try to remain grounded and suitably objective in these cases. I think we also have to stop allowing the media to rouse us into these states of utter chaos and letting them control the narrative - especially when the common good and the well-being of the people are not on their agenda. Seriously, I mean...the amount of hate that erupted when Trump won the presidency was staggering. Most of my friends on the left became as hateful and intolerant as the same people on the right that they were opposed to. But I digress.
When it comes to race relations, we REALLY need to have some open and honest talks about it as a collective - free from political correctness, and free from everyone jumping at "racist" shadows. I do think there are racial differences, but it's become racist in and of itself to even mention or acknowledge these differences. It reminds me of when I posted a profile pic with my afro out on FB - a white woman commented saying that she'd like to touch my hair, and a black woman quickly chimed in with, "that's racist". See...this type of shit can't happen. I'm a black male - my hair is super thick, and extremely curly - it's a completely different grade and texture than that of your average white woman's hair. How could I fault her for being curious about how it feels? That doesn't make her racist at all. Hell, even if we were in person and she touched my hair without permission, that wouldn't be racist either - it would just be incredibly rude lol.
We can't keep shutting down the conversation before there's even any dialogue. And this doesn't just go for black people, or white people, or leftists, or conservatives - this goes for everyone. There has to be some REAL effort in this country made for people to open up and truly try to understand each other, but as of now, I know a push like this will neither come from the government nor the media - there are too many people profiting off of the chaos, and too many people have careers depending on these divisive narratives.

What happened lately (as for racial-based press) is not "kids just fooling around" but the kind of blatantly and downright low act of showcasing racial hatred. You don't solve issues or commit "justified vengeance" by casting your anger upon random victims of the opposite ethnicity or race - especially not upon those who are not 'abled'. No excuses.
Shame on those who attempt to justify this vile act - everything should be judged equally and defo NOT based on the means of "being oppressed or being the oppressor".

Pretsy got a reaction from suji in J-artists' children
So here's the thing (considering that MH can be used as a platform for not-so-music-related things (we have Tanuki threads too, after all):
As curious fanatics and so on, we are usually intrigued not only about J-musicians (or basically any other musician), but we are also interested in seeing how their offsprings would showcase themselves in the public (not necessarily appliable to every monochromium here but hey - tanuki-tier stuff shouldn't be boring, right?).
Not expecting this thread to progress further, but post any pics you could find about children of those popular J-musicians we might have heard of etc. - vk or non-vk, doesn't matter really! (ps. feel free to move this to the gallery section in case this deserves no place around here, I had no idea where to shoehorn this lol).

Pretsy got a reaction from Ito in The Nu metal 00's in Visual kei
Not that it would be strongly connected to VK (question whether this is actually related to visual scene due to their frontman is still debatable) but Kiyoharu's SADS had an album in 2001 (The Rose God Gave Me) which imho may have served as some sort of inspiring direction in regards to combining nu metal/sometimes American alt. metal ideas with various "progenitor" ideas of heavier visual kei music (glam rock-metal/punk).
"Because" and "Porno Star" are already familiar to everyone (not exactly nu metal) but this may be the nu metalliest piece Kiyoharu has ever made:
Limp Bizkit-meets-glam metal-ish stuff (ofc with good ol' dose of spoken word goodness)
This may also count, I guess (influence-wise) - awkward rapping bridges and climax are something which one would imagine in a nu metal piece rather than in some glam punk banger.
But interesting thread hey!

From ze big heat of SG to ze mainland chill of rural China is one huge shocker really.
At this point my body is not ready for Finland...nor to early winter Japan either.
Out of those three Zakurogata felt less out-of-place in regards to Disorder's positioning - the inclusion of Miseinen would be more of the off-the-context solo banger than 7/8 song was and Zetsu has no place with songs like Social... and Carry really (as much as Zetsu is the best of Gazette jams ever).
As for my personal opinion on Zakurogata, I like how it's varied in all its quirkiness yet its de facto story context is grim af. Not better than those two other singles ofc but far off from being something "totally unlikable".
But then again, this comes from a guy who legitly jams along to [DIS] and similar "so bad that it's good" Gazette songs.
