I'd rather take the EU one over the times I saw them in NY and Philly though lol

I really love how in keibetsu the main riff has subtle changes between each verse and completely changes by the end of the song. Very similar to The Inferno in that regard. I should just put those two songs on repeat for the rest of my life.

You'd be surprised, it's disgusting how in Japan every time they start playing Sustain the Untruth, the fans act like Christmas came early. Seen it 30+ times and by the end of the tours I would feel like the band was doing it on purpose just to mock me. A show without Sustain was like a gift. Easily the most annoying Dir en grey live track.

They used to be my kami band but like, they're messy queens first and foremost and i love them for that. The A&B concept is pretty fun, but listening to B makes me wonder why A wasn't basically that--then i remember all the headbanging fun and im like okay nbd

egnirys is in my top 5 songs on MACABRE. It encompasses everything I love about that era.

A little disturbing to see his brought his fishhooking antics back, but you can't deny the way he did it was fucking amazing

that teasing mocking smile as he held up his hands making you wonder if he was gonna do it and he finally does is actually brilliant, not to mention the swinging bloody lightbulb being reminiscent of the way he always slings his mic over his neck when he cuts himself... subtle but brilliant honestly. 

tbh sukekiyo are objectively more sophisticated in composition, instrumentation, arrangement etc
