I'm still contemplating if I should pay the 4500Y to see them play with like eight other bands I have no interest in seeing ...

    My mood every trip.

  2. Seller leaves me waiting for over a week to confirm purchase, leaves messages on seen and finally backs down on half the items. Texts me every few hours after payment to make sure I shipped already out of a company I do not have nearby nor normally work with. Ugh.

Has anyone in here seen these guys live? I was on such a tight schedule last year in Japan I didn't even think to look into them, which I have since then regretted again!

I have, 4 times. They are fun and actually good, but nothing too groundbreaking for me. I'll see them again if they play with my band but I don't think I'll go out of my way just for them.

I know that's what everyone says, but do we really know? Are there actual official sources that state that to be true? Because I feel like everytime this is discussed, people just reference hearsay and that one sketchy interview of an unnamed industry insider. None of which are reliable and certainly not up to date sources. The Japanese registry of companies would likely have the necessary information, but from what I can tell it's a paid service.

I guess the most accurate way of knowing is checking the printed names of producers on CDs and look for correlations while hoping they are truthful.

This word has no doubt been overused and abused to the point where anything that makes anyone feel uncomfortable is automatically considered "toxic".

Yeah, even reminding someone to call you/text you back about something is considered “toxic” and “controlling” by some.

You don't have to be successful to get opportunities. It helps, but the main thing is the connections and being someone people trust and can work with. Lezard is a FWD/Riostar Records band, so could be that Lime spent a few months working on a unique concept and some demos, and then called up the company to pitch a new band idea.

Or the company made some concepts and headhunted Lime and the others.
I read a while ago that when bands come out of nowhere and get so big so fast it's because the producers (and maybe one of the bandmembers who also acts as producer) came up with a killer concept and got the approval and funds to launch it big, that bands like that are meant to be big from the very beginning, while others aren't, which is why other bands in labels with a big act never really take off, because they aren't meant to and thus underfunded. Kizu was clearly produced from day 1 to be the next big thing.

I like this! I'm going to try and go to his live on the 28th and will certainly buy these if I go. ... or not. His website lists it as the 28th, but it's on the 29th ... and I'll be at Ricko's birthday oneman that night. Damn.

Double edit. Of note: My main main Zyean arranged the drums on the EP.

So is he really on this CD? Apparently he didn’t record Oswald.

  8. Cazqui should have named the song Frankenstein. Sounds like he pieced 8 songs together to make this mess.

I don’t hate it, probably because I enjoy the vocals, but it’s all over the place.

I do feel it’s intentional and the theme of his “brutal orchestra”. To be consistently messy, I mean.

PS: Cazqui looks like Emily from The Corpse Bride in latest photos. I always thought it was his filters, but he looks equally undead in shots with other people.

  9. Glad you enjoyed it! It really is a stellar release. The remixing and re-recordings sound outstanding and really improved many already great songs.

Obliterator is really fun live, really. I’m glad you are liking it.

And yes, Last Faith is better than Elice, I wonder why it didn’t get the PV.

    "The current Ryo shit"

    Consider that stolen

Current favorite active bands are JILUKA, D, lynch., Matenrou Opera, Gotcharocka, Diaura, Kizu and "current Ryo shit".
Favorite disbanded bands include Kagrra, VRZEL, Morrigan, 9GBO, -Oz-, Malisend and Acid Black Cherry(?).

Stuff I don't stan hardcore but do enjoy and keep around include exist trace, GazettE, RAZOR, DIMLIM, NAZARE, Dadaroma, a bunch of other currently active/disbanded bands with similar sounds.

Do As Infinity and Ayumi Hamasaki are my all time favorite pop acts.

I also like Taylor Swift and Dua Lipa, oops.

I think that he was their roadie and later, when shit hit the fan, a support member.

    Ohhh I see, thanks.

I only paid attention to D.I.D after I got into DIMLIM so I know almost nothing about them, aside from Akane’s antics.

    That's what I thought!

But the theory came to me that it probably didn't sell out on August 17th and they are selling what's left in the "little shops" when the band does an event or show, I don't know ... I'm Brazilian, I never went to their show (unfortunately ). But that is the only explanation!

They aren’t. The only DIMLIM CD available at all physical stores is Rijin. I looked for Chedoara all over Tokyo.

I also inquired about Kidoairaku and they not only sold all the copies but are absolutely not printing more.

they've literally had like 1 or 2 lives since their departures and 0 music releases. id reserve judgment until we actually hear what the new material sounds like and where dimlim go from here when it comes to their lives. 2 lives compared to 2+ years of being together seems a bit of a lopsided ratio but what do i know lol

I saw them two years ago and performance-wise they were boring already 🤷🏻‍♀️

im still confused at all the know it all's who claimed retsu isnt trying or not giving a fuck based off 1 live, he might be hard headed and have other faults but ive always had the impression hes given it his all when it comes to making music. are we really going to forget the upgrade in quality of music dimlim went through when transitioning from issei to retsu lol. all u gotta do is go back on the chedoara thread and see people's reactions when they came out with Vanitas, Aijou ni tsuki, and shigarami back to back to back.

I don’t think you have read, but one of the “know it all’s”goes to every fucking DIMLIM live.

And, as I told Retsu himself, one thing is being passionate about making music and a completely different one is being passionate about PERFORMING IT.
