Even if you have money it's hard to justify buying stuff all the time if you live overseas as 1, prices for this stuff is proper high for what it actually is.... 2, postage costs and 3, FUCKING CUSTOMS CHARGES 4, remember we don't all live in Japan so this stuff isn't so easily accessible to all of us. So with all that added together, sometimes buying a single CD will cost like 40/50 quid. I personally do try to get hard-copies for the bands I really like but have cut back a lot on "let's get this to check it out" or "I liked the one song off the single so will buy the whole CD and hope it's actually good." buys as it's all just getting too much money wise. I can afford to, but am just unable to justify it tbh. Especially when I can buy other music I like and get like 6/7 albums or more for the price of like two from VK bands, those two CD's could also be singles that equal 20/30mins of stuff, so why would I pay that when I can get a handful of full length albums for the same price? Just sayin.... haha.

The guy spammed for four years over a $17 dollar DVD of a band he claims to “love so much” and tbh it’s insulting at this rate. If he saved a few coins instead of complaining he could have bough the DVD he wanted so desperately by now.
It’s a shitty excuse if you love a band as much as he claims. This is no longer “checking stuff up”, he’s been pestering everyone for free better quality stuff of things already available on youtube. If he needs the higher quality and can’t be happy with the free version why do we have to provide it for him?

It’s not even about how he spends his money, it’s about the spam that has annoyed us (me and a few other lurking fans) for a while. I’ve had it, officially.

I live in Latin America and on under 400 dollars a month to support bands I want to keep around on the scene so save me the lecture on “we overseas fans pay more mimimi”, will you? Some of us make actual sacrifices and are sick and tired of “fans” demanding we give them stuff and throwing tantrums when we don’t.

Pro tip: regular tracked shipping for a CD from Japan to SA (most expensive rate, other continents are cheaper) is $7 and if you have CD Japan mark the parcel as a gift, customs won’t tax you for importing merchandise.

Or that Japan Expo in France that DADAROMA played at.

Any anime event is the worst possible choice for them, career wise. They are one of the few VK bands that can attempt to play in the western metal league and a weeb con can forever tarnish their image and brand them as an “anime band”. I don’t know about you guys but I certainly wouldn’t want that for their career.

From what I was told, they announced one single performance for may, so that means an isolated event, not a European tour.

For their sake I hope it’s Taiwan or some event in France or Germany, as most of their actual fanbase is in Europe.

Wisest move would have been a two-man tour with Deviloof.

They will also hold another Mad Pit Tour in June/July, a 2man with Leetspeak Monsters and a oneman tour in October-November.

Edit: I’ve been suspecting a-kon ever since they got that deal with CHI, which btw didn’t seem too fruitful?

Use nivea creme, the one in the blue tin container ❤️ its very cheap and extremely moisturizing! Apply it heavily in the evening before you sleep and your face should be moisturized by the morning! By heavily I meen A LOT! your face should look extremely greasy and feel very sticky haha! I like to use that under makeup too. I have combination skin, oily in the T-zone and dry in the forehead and cheeks. It's the best thing I have ever tried! In the morning you just wash it off in warm water and scrub away the dead skincells using a towel. Then apply a small amoumt under your makeup.

To keep your makeup on I suggest you to use a primer. There are many different kinds of primers, you will have to find one that works for you. My recommendation is the Master Primers from Maybelline or the Porefessional by Benefit. The benefit one is expensive though.

For foundation I recommend you to use an oil based one. Even cream makeup could work for dry skin. I recommend the L'Oréal Paris Infallible pro glow foundation or their true match one, Dermacol Makeup Cover foundation could also work.  If you want to try cream makeup I recommend the Kryolan Ultra foundation,  Kryolan TV Paint Stick. It's basically foundation that doesn't dry out. You will need to set it using a little bit of powder, but it works on dry skin!

You could try to use cream contouring, it might work a bit better since your skin is dry. I prefer powder contour though because it is easier to apply. I think it will work if you find a foundation that doesn't dry out.

Even a BB-cream could work. I tried the Revolution ultra face base foundation BB-cream. It didn't dry out so that one could be great for you!

If your skin is extremely dry you could put on a heavy layer of Nivea Creme under your foundation, that way your skin won't absorb the moisture from the foundation. Think about your skin as a sponge that soaks up liquid kind of haha, that is what dry skin does, so you need to use a lot of moisturizer until it can't soak up anymore liquid. You know you have used enough if your skin feels sticky after half an hour or so!

Thank you!! I will give the nivea cream a try and I'll see what I can find in my country from this list 😮

Indeed one thing that definitely grows unnerving with each listening is the completely absence of anything that resembles a bass. Don't know if it was a conscious choice, but I kinda blame Katsuya, it's the producer/engineer job to tell the band: "dudes, this is dumb"

Sho and Hiroshi still being in Dimlim but looking like they want out desperately at lives are proof that it's quite hard to tell Retsu "no" to something.

  5. BTW, what would you recommend for someone with EXTREMELY dry skin that peels off during the day? I have to apply moisturizing cream three times a day, plus lotions and toners twice a day, to keep my face from looking like I'm half snake. I use cream foundation but I rarely do full make up since my face starts looking weird and cakey after a while, so I often do full make up as close as possible to the event in question (I've done my face at conbini restrooms right before a live/instore) and it doens't usually last through the whole thing. I'm afraid to use anything powder since it mike make it worse. Thankfully I'm keeping my face really clean so I don't really need to wear foundation every day (I'm not wearing any in most of my IG photos).
Is there some foundation or procedure you'd recommend? I'd like to learn to do contour/highlight but I can't even maintain the regular foundation on for more than a few hours :S

@Komorebi, the good news is that it’s highly likely to work with hooded eyes.

Really? I always feel whatever I put on my eyes is essentially invisible after I open my eyes orz

    Spoiler

It worked now, I just picked a random picture haha

so this is kind of how I would do it on you ❤️

Your eyes are perfect for asian makeup actually!

I made this very quickly so it's not a great edit, but yeah haha, you get the idea :o

So you can't post links at all? o: If you post a link I could copy and paste it into the browser to see it

For some reason whenever I try to embed an image using the menu option it gives me some error message or it just won't let me click.

    edit: try now

Aaah haha we will come up with something!

Post the image on a site like imageshack or something like that, then you just post the direct link to the image in your post ❤️

I don't mean to be rude but don't you think I would have tried that by now? When I say I can't it's because the forum LITERALLY doesn't let me.

You mean you have hooded eyes? Like.... the skin folds over the eyelids?

What I would do is either to use eyelid tape, same thing asians use. Hooded eyes and asian eyes are very similar so you should be able to follow asian tutorials. When you do the eyes you will have to look straight forward while you do it to get the shape right! ❤️

Maybe if you could submit a picture of your eyes, or a picture of someone with similar eyes to you? That way I can help you ❤️

Yes! I mean exactly that lol Eyelid tape on a daily basis sounds like a hassle tbh, but I'll look into it.

I could submit a photo but Idk how to post images here, I've tried for about 5 years with 0 results.

not sure why the 'are they vkei or aren't they' debate is so lively when the music sounds more vkei than 鵬翼 & their looks are more vkei than 達郎's in 心のない町's PV. between this & DEZERT i'd say rather than declaring individual bands to have fallen off the vkei wagon we're seeing the early phases of another branch of this scene, like what we english-speakers call oshare/nagoya/angura/art kei. indie kei? i think it could be a thing & would love to see more of it

What exactly do you mean by “sound VK”, this has absolutely no built in furi whatsoever.

  11. I’ve had the album on repeat all morning... not because I’m hooked but because once I finish it I can’t remember anything.

Sho’s voice is the only thing that allows this forgettable album to fade into tolerable background noise instead of have me skipping it entirely.
