Yeah, it was pretty heavily autotuned. More bitter about it since today's VMAs performance sounded better to me with much more distinctive vocals. But this song was definitely made for US radio, my hopes are that it will take a bit of the pressure to chart and break records from the coming album, I've noticed BTS alternate public-friendly releases with less calculated and more interesting ones.

Hey, just my 2c: if something looks interesting but you can't seem to get into it, don't give it up immediately. I've observed that after long periods of apathy I need to push through an initial warming up period, and then I get hooked on whatever I'm doing and it becomes easier by the day.

Whatever you get after converting from one format to another, but the term's often used for things transcoded from a lower-quality format/setting to a higher-quality one, like 128kbps mp3s transcoded to 320kbps or lossless, you still have 128kbps worth of information but a few times the size, frustrating  when you happen upon such uploads on the internet.

That's a first, have any specific examples? I do feel they are going for many recognizable, kinda retro styles here and mixing them with Imai's signature bleep-bloppery, but the only song that feels truly derivative to me is Bi Neo Universe. And that too is more of a case of a musical cliché that can be heard in many songs than something I can trace to a single song they derived it from. Or do you mean the "I wanna be your boy"s and "Besame mucho"s? Those kinda make my day, I don't perceive them as any different from the other (literary, film etc) allusions in the album. All in all, I've really been loving Atom Miraiha, it makes me feel feels and imagine some funny things. It seems like the culmination of the direction they took back with Razzle Dazzle, or maybe even earlier, so definitely not unnecessary for me.

I don't think that's right? Thinking of other solo artists on last.fm, I can't think of a precedent where the first and last name are separated - 椎名林檎, 平沢進, 友川かずき, to give the most listened ones from my library as examples. There is no reason for Ryutaro to be an exception, even his wikipedia page doesn't use a space.

Well I am planning on enrolling in Japanese studies, this will also get to me in a few years. But in many situations people don't care about subtleties, and anyway technology will run its course, it was only a matter of time until it got to intellectual labor. Not there yet, but I'm optimistic about advances in AI. No point pretending, I'm really cheering for Google.
