    kill my ass i didnt know throwing the term "shoegaze" around on a pop/rock thing means its gotta be like ride or MBV or slowdive or something??? besides, the melodies from what i've heard set to heavier guitars would be legit shoegaze; it doesnt have to be in your face novembers style to be called shoegaze. that said, i should have clarified that its not pure shoegaze but still like uh really?????

    i hate to say it considering yall werent feeling this but i totally am. the shoegaze is definitely strong with this one and im excited to see how it turns out. really wish the guitars were heavier, but its not die's style to have next reverb and delay considering how much he loves that funkier playing style.

    I'm not impressed by that list. The lack of Dødheimsgard is seriously disturbing. And a list that has room enough for Deafheaven but not Dødheimsgard is a list not worth paying attention to.

     

    Next please.

    p4k always snubs metal artists, not more than 3/4 make the list each year, and even then they're placed much farther back than their scores should indicate.

    i miss my pitchfork days lol maybe i'll check out the list, soooo many new names it makes me feel old after being an indie kid in 2010-2012

    4. i hear a lot of moran-era guitar work in miyako's playing, just more frantic and dissonant sounding and it suits dezert a lot more than i'd thought

    5. i kind of wish he'd tune down to a# like kira i miss the heaviness; but im sure playing support he'd have to use a guitar that'd tune down that low so i guess there's hope he adopted it somehow (correct me if im wrong)

    6. how'd they lie low for a whole year and still have the funds for such a nice video
